A quiet town.
A quiet town. We have used it as our stop-over of choice for several years and we enjoy it's familiarity toward the end of a long journey. We can always find somewhere to eat and have a walk around. The church is interesting and the references to the war heritage and the visit of the Inquisition ...intriguing.

lovely town centre with an amazing cathedral and square with informative displays on the history. Only one bar open after 9 pm and nowhere to eat though. In the morning we found a lovely coffee shop for breakfast

Very nice little town, with some surprisingly pretty old buildings and a very nice park.
Decent shopping with a good selection of bars and cafes.
The restaurant "La Corne" was excellent, not cheap perhaps but good value for the excellent food and service.

Abbeville is a hidden French gem, close to everything .
Abbeville is a hidden French gem, close to everything . Near beaches, war memorials ( battle of the Somme ) chateau's to see and the shopping is great. People are friendly. Lots of money has poured into Picardie due to Macron and this being his home area. Paris is close and so is Amiens and its canals and catherdrals. Abbeville has stunning old streets and houses and beautiful Catherdral. A well kept secret

We've come many times and usually for a short stay, but the city is a not untypical French location - part historic part very (post WW2) modern. It has good places to stay and at least a couple of pleasant dining locations. We have to spend more than three days so I cant talk about a longer stay. If your interested in WW2 history there are interesting things to see.

The property has been renovated to a very high standard and it is beautiful and very comfortable.
The grounds are stunning and we dipped our toes in the pool which was very warm.
There is an assortment of cute animals who are all very friendly.
There is private parking and it’s just a very short walk into the centre of town.
Eric and his wife were incredibly welcoming and nothing was too much trouble.
The breakfast is included and there was an extensive choice, including five different breads and home made jams.
We were just sad we were only staying one night and will definitely return for a longer stay

this is a beautifully restored former convent. Set in wonderful gardens with a heated swimming pool there are many extra touches such as linen sheets and beautiful towels in the bathroom . The range of food offered for breakfast was greater than anywhere we stayed on our trip through France , Belgium and Holland. This hotel is excellent value for money , we would have to pay far more if staying in similar in the U.K. We will definately stay there again if in the area.

Hotel was easy to find and I arrived after midnight, but night staff were on duty and I could check in easily. Very helpful guy on the desk.
Left early after a typical hotel buffet breakfast. There was ample car parking, even arriving late. And the room and bed were clean and comfortable. If did exactly what I needed for an overnight stop on a journey into France

I would like to stress the extraordinary service of the hotel staff. They were always approachable and very helpful. In a very serious personal situation they did everything the could in order to support me, such as organizing the necessary contacts and letting me use their phone, as I inadvertedly lost mine.
