We had the most amazing experience staying at this wonderful place, surrounded by stunning scenery that feels like a hidden gem. What truly made our stay unforgettable were the incredibly involved and welcoming owners, Chiara and Ruud. Chiara, the chef, deserves a Michelin star for her extraordinary culinary skills – every meal was a delight! And Ruud deserves a special award for going above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The room was cozy and equipped with all the essentials, making it feel like home. As a final touch of their outstanding service, they provided us with fresh croissants for our next day of driving, showing just how thoughtful and attentive they are. We cannot recommend this place enough – it’s a must-visit!

The facility was top notch, equiped to the detail, and everything was modern, clean and comfortable. The hosts are lovely, they warmly welcomed us and toured the property with us. There is a terrace outside to enjoy the amazing sunset and nightsky! They welcomed our pet too, the property has a fenced area, perfect if you travel with dogs. Fantastic quality-price. It is a place I strongly recommed to other travelers, and I am confident we will repeat our stay!

The town is adorable but after visiting the Abbey, there's not a ton to do. We used the village as a base to tour in the area. Our favorite was Lascaux, about 40 minutes away, with pre-historic cave drawings.

The tranquility, the welcome from Ruud & Chiara, the dinner (a fabulous cod dish), sitting on our private terrace sipping wine in the sunshine, the conversation after dinner and a very restful and comfortable night's sleep. Breakfast was good and Ruud was extremely helpful after we left some items behind. A wonderful experience and well worth the trip to get there. If you do decide to book here, make time to visit Aubazines, we didn't so will have to return 😁.

We were really impressed by the village - the magnificent views towards the mountains, the nature that is well preserved and the hotel itself with its original architecture. The dinner at the restaurant was excellent - I can definitely recommend the Trout which comes from a reservoir in the village and of course - the souffle glace. The staff was super friendly and the breakfast - abundant.

Exceptional. Ruud and Chiara are superb hosts who made us and our dog feel really welcome. The hotel is charming, beautifully decorated, comfortable and clean. Great location for a our stop over on our journey but would love to come back for a longer stay sometime. The evening meal and breakfast were both delicious with quality ingredients and produce.

The staff are all very friendly. Our room was large and clean We had two delicious meals at their restaurant. There is a variety of choice for breakfast and all very satisfying. The village is charming with good walking to be had from the door of the hotel.
