FranceThe location is perfect. It is in a centre but it is very quiet. there is a local market in front of the hotel on Friday. It is nice distance to walk to Saint Goustant. The room is cozy and clean? There is everything we need near by. The coffee shop down stair is lovely as well. Good atmosphere.

Old town, interesting shops in lovely streets and very attractive buildings, beware if you are not fit as there steep hills. Still, if you walk down the harbour there is a "train" , which takes you around the port, and up to the town, and you can leave the train there. Plenty of restaurants by the port and the town. All very pleasant

Auray is a pretty little town and it has a wonderful market on Mondays. One of the best French markets we have been to.
There is plenty to explore in the Morbihan (we used the trains a lot as well as our car) We recommend two sights in particular:
1. the megalith stones at Carnac
2. Going inside the submarine at L'Orient

I have to admit that I didn't see a great deal of Auray...
I have to admit that I didn't see a great deal of Auray itself and focused on the Port area.I was fascinated to learn that I was standing on the quayside where Benjamin Franklin landed after the American Revolution in 1776 and there are references to this in various places around the St Goustan Port.The steep and narrow streets may not be ideal territory for those with limited mobility but they are incredibly scenic and worth the effort.On the other side of the coin,the restaurants around the port certainly use the quality of the location to boost their prices a bit.
The limited time I spent in the other areas of Auray indicated that it isn't hugely different to most other French towns of similar size.

Auray Saint Goustan was a truly magical, ancient, small Breton town situated beside the water. Eating a delicious dinner overlooking the colourful vintage fishing boats and the old stone bridge in the setting sun was an image I want to lock in my memory box forever.
The huge and rambling Auray market day on a Monday morning is definite must for a market lover!

A great location - just a couple of minutes walk across the bridge to the quay area with its restaurants, and within an easy (although steep) walk up to Auray town.
The room was was comfortable and nicely decorated, and the host Delphine was very friendly and helpful.
We have an electric car and used a nearby public charging point about 4 minutes walk up the road.

The apartment in St Goustan was truly superb: very clean and very spacious in a quiet street with secure parking. It was just a short walk to the heart of the old town (Le Port St Goustan) and easy to continue from there up into Auray itself. It was also very conveniently located for travelling around the whole area. Good value for money. We'd certainly use it again.

The apartment is in a perfect location - in the centre of Auray. It’s a five minute and very scenic walk to the harbour. There are many good restaurants and nice cafes close to the apartment. It’s very quiet and the bed is very comfortable. The hosts are helpful and kind - thank you Elisabeth and Michel!

Our room had good lighting and a comfortable bed. The hotel is located near a supermarket on the outskirts of town. It was easy to walk to the supermarket if the weather was fine. The information provided was in both French and English.

A standard BW, well located for the short walk into the port of Auray. Facilities are all good, the room was comfortable and well equipped. Lots of free parking. Breakfast was good.
