GermanyCan’t say a single thing about this property as the owner cancelled our accommodation the night before we were to arrive. We were hiking in the mountains without any cellphone signal. We arrived in the town at 8pm after 3 days of hiking. All we wanted to do was go to the accommodation and shower and rest. We got an email saying that our accommodation was cancelled. It was the weekend of Tour De France in the small town and every single other accommodation option was fully booked. We were stranded. We had to travel by foot to another town which took 1 hour of walking in the dark until we eventually found another place to sleep. The owner did not even bother to call us or apologize. And I still have not received my feedback for the cancellation. So not only have I lost the money for this booking but I also had to pay an exorbitant amount on new accommodation. DO NOT STAY HERE.

FranceWe spent one night at this hotel and both found it was one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in large or small anywhere in the world. Truly exceptional. The service is top class. The restaurant was friendly and served excellent food. The room was beautifully appointed and completely clean. The staff were both efficient and friendly and found out within minutes whether the nearby road over the Col de Tourmalet was open when we had failed to find the information ourselves.

United KingdomIt is at the end of a very rural and stunningly beautiful valley. Only walkers went beyond. The hosts were lovely, the breakfast perfect and supper nice to have as it would be half an hour down the valley to find a restaurant. It’s by a beautiful river surrounded by beech woods and views up to the snow capped Pyranees.

This is primarily a Ski hotel and we stayed out of season. The hotel has a very good restaurant (we had one good meal) but one night it was closed as the family were away at a funeral - so our overall experience was a little unusual (being the only people in the hotel that night!). I think this is a very good place to stay out of the ski season (including if you wish to visit Pic du Midi) and Bareges is also a pleasnt small town (though a lot is closed out of season).

I really liked the hotel (even Toulouse Lautrec, the painter, stayed here, as I found out from a leaflet :)). The room was large and stylishly decorated, clean and comfortable. Very kind lady owner. The breakfast was fair but dinner was plentiful (4 courses) and tasty, excellent value for money.
