Great transport system that really is well integrated with all live details available online. Great, classic architecture. Many superb restaurants. Top visit has to be the Submarine Base. The Les Bassins des Lumières show is simply spectacular! Take Tram C to Place Ravezies and Bus 9 for just two stops. 10 minute walk, unlike the 30+ minutes from the Cite du Vin.

Bordeaux is a city worth visiting. In 3 days we enjoyed La Cite du Vin, Musee Mer Marine, Musee des Beaux-Arts. For shopping Galeries LaFayette was our first choice. While in La Cite du Vin, do not forget to try the simulated raisin crushing experience. I loved the bookstores, the restaurants, the friendliness of the people. Check out Books and Coffee, writer friends! Getting around is very easy - I walked pretty much everywhere. When I had luggage, I took the very efficient tram to the train station. We had a brilliant tour of nearby St. Emilion, both village and an organic winery. Bordeaux is a very interesting city and has some beautiful architecture. The transport system is excellent. There were lots of places to visit and we enjoyed trips to the vineyards.
