The beds were clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful, even the cleaning lady suggested we moved rooms as the original room was the oldest and 'not good'. They helped with directions and what to do in the city. There is a tram station about 4 minutes from the hotel that takes you straight into the centre of Bordeaux - very convenient. The lake is not far either and is nice to walk by.

I loved this hotel. All the staff were excellent and really made a difference to our stay all were professional, friendly and attentive.
The hotel itself was beautiful and the spa was fantastic. The hotel felt clean and tidy and the facilities were excellent. There was L’Occitane in the rooms, as well as loose leaf tea bags in a number of flavors as well as coffee pods. We stayed here twice as we liked this hotel so much.
This Novotel sits on the shore of Bordeaux Lake and has an outdoor swimming pool with sun loungers and umbrellas.

Raise your wine glass and toast to the beautiful city of Bordeaux on the banks of the Garonne River. Having produced wine since the 8th century, it’s fair to say the second largest wine producer in the world is worth the trip for the vin alone. The city itself has spread outwards, rather than upwards, and the result is a very pretty town centre, filled with stone mansions and terraced housing comparable to Paris.
Cultured Bordeaux is filled with museums such as the Museum of Contemporary Art and Musee D'Aquitaine. The streets provide an equally interesting exhibition of fine architecture including the Victory Arch and the Aquitaine Bridge.
On the shores of the river lies the Les Chartrons district, which is a blend of ferry boat rides, picturesque views and buzzing nightlife while the pubs and cafes in the La Victoire district are frequented by students.
A tour of the famous vineyards is probably on the itinerary and this can be accomplished by visiting the wineries and châteaux privately or as part of a tour. You can also worship the wine gods at the Bordeaux Wine Festival held during the summer.
Visitors can easily make the short trip to the heart of Bordeaux from the Bordeaux-Mérignac Airport. With 70 hotels and bed & breakfasts available, Booking.com allows you to discover the vibrant and friendly heart of the vineyard region.

All the old doors are beautiful in Bordeaux and so many streets are only for then pedestrians. My daughter was very satisfied as well. We walked around 14 km only in the old town, from the water mirror ro the Chartron part and we visited the most places as well. In the hotel we found a mal of the town and we defined our way in the old town.

Bordeaux is a very beautiful city with lots to see and do. Anyone who likes art, architecture, culture, wine, shopping will be happy. We stayed for 5 days which was perfect for us, gave us time to relax as well as seeing the sights. It’s very walkable, everywhere very flat. Highly recommend the Citypass, which you can buy from the Tourist Information centre, gives you access to many attractions and transport is included. The tram system makes it very easy to travel all over the city. Bassin de Lumieres is a must!

we ate at food hall Bacalan this had a large variety to choose from and is close to cite du vin but there is certainly plenty to choose from in city too.
Airport is pretty terrible so don't go expecting to be able to eat tea there, as through security there is small shop and café. Otherwise transport links in city are really good. Particular sites I enjoyed. Exploring coffee shops around the city (books & coffee is good), Jardin Public is lovely place to visit, also spent a lot of time on rue de saint Catherine. If you have time, A small 1hr trip over to Arcachon and dune du pilat is definitely worth the trip. Easily accessible by both train and bus.

It was my first trip to Bordeaux and we were just 'passing through' en route to a wedding in Haux.
I really only had a day and a morning to wander around, but I had done my homework beforehand and knew what I would like to see.
The centre of Bordeaux is very old and every side street is a photo opportunity. It is SO PICTURESQUE!!
However, BEWARE OF CYCLISTS. They go at tremendous speed, you can't hear them coming and they make no concession for pedestrians. I didn't see any accidents, but got a shock once or twice at how close they were on occasions.
Wear SENSIBLE AND STURDY SHOES. A lot of the roads and walkways are old cobbles and even trainers didn't stop me getting pains in my feet.
It also follows that the city is on an incline!! Wonderful as you make your way down to the River Garonne. Less so as you make your journey back!! However, the walking is good for your health!
Lovely rooms, very large compared to other rooms we have stayed in in France. Bed very comfy. Wine fridge in room but no wine opener, available at reception though.
Little bit out of the centre of Bordeaux but close to some nice places to eat and drink. Tram nearby to get into centre of city.
Would definitely recommend.....hope to be back.
Thanks to the reception staff for the advice on parking in the area. Most helpful ✨️
Very nice and friendly front desk staff! It's not a Hilton but a great economical place very near the city centre if you travel with a dog... and also without a tutu! :) The Tram stop is just there and next door you have Cite du Vin... one of the best museums in France! We could park our MC just in front of the door! :) ... and yes, very ok breakfast for its price!
A very comfortable boutique hotel located a few metres from the main Square. Easy walking distance to many sights, cafes, restaurants, and a major tram interchange. The rooms were very well equipped, comfortable and spacious. The staff were very helpful. Also - a rarity in France - excellent showers. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
Super stylish hotel right on the river with all you need to enjoy Bordeaux. The secure underground parking garage is just steps away and not too expensive for a good hotel in France's second city. Lovely staff and excellent value for money.
Brilliant location for visiting Bordeaux city centre and attractions in the city. The tram to the airport stopped right outside the hotel. Staff were always very friendly and helpful.
