BelgiumLes Lodges de Socrate is situated on the riverbank of the Eure with easy access by car and also to the hiking trails. The hotel has a unique character, is very clean and very spacious rooms. Highly recommended. The menu in the restaurant has less options but the food is excellent.

Perfect get away for a relaxed stay in a fantastic region of...
Perfect get away for a relaxed stay in a fantastic region of France where there is so much to see and do. We went to Les Anderleys and to chateau Gaillard built by Richard the Lion Heart. We were blown away by Monet’s garden at Giverny where all the tulips were out as well as other beautiful spring blossoms. We loved Rouen and visited the fabulous cathedral and Joan of Arc museum before having a phenomenal lunch at La Couronne in the old market square.

The hotel is located in a beautiful countryside setting with a view of the Seine River. It’s highly atmospheric: birds are singing, swans are swimming, and frogs are croaking. A true retreat. The staff is very friendly, and we were checked in quickly. The room was spacious with a well-equipped kitchen. Despite the proximity to the water, there were no mosquitoes. Access to the pool is included in the price; it is small, but well-maintained. There is parking available, and the hotel grounds are beautiful and lovely to walk around.

The Moulin de Connelles is unique. Do not compare it with an average hotel. Just enjoy the solitude location, the unique charme of the hotel, the amazing dinner and the even more amazing breakfast, the superb wines and last but definitely not least the absolutely excellent staff, led by an absolutely fabulous host! I will definitely be back.

It was nice to go back. Although it was a quiet time of year the hotel hadn't changed much since we were there about 8 years ago. There were also some friendly faces of old.
