Every so often one is fortunate enough to find a hotel which has a unique ambience, location, and style which can only be acquired through the years An old smaller hotel such as Moulin de Fourges is much more valuable than a seven-star hotel because the former has a spirit and a literary posture. Delightfully set beside the same river as feeds Monet’s garden further down stream with a working water wheel it is an idyllic venue. Our room was spacious with the charm of wooden rafters, spacious windows overlooking river, weir and water wheel. To us nothing better than the sound of running waters for a good night’s sleep. Well furnished, spotlessly clean, and with a/c and modern but tasteful plumbing. The general ares such a reception and restaurant were appropriately rustic. We loved wonderful decor and comfortable large family suit. The staff are very friendly. In the middle of a large 65 hectares property, with many paths for walks through nature. Very good breakfast and dinner. There are apparently a couple of children attractions nearby, which we will check out next time. Can't wait to be back.

Clean natural garden with very clean river water. All facilities were available: dishes, teapots, coffee machine, microwave etc. And all of them worked well. In the house warming system works well too. Barbecue is new and works perfect. The house is an old traditional house with advantages and disadvantages. But the way how the owners organised it commands great respect - everything is functioning well, looks nice and cozy. It has a separate entry from the street, and own entry to the garden (back door). The house has 2 floors with tile floor on the ground floor (kitchen and toilet) and warm wooden floor in the second floor (bedroom and bathroom). This set requires using stairs and flip flops on the first floor. The house has own parking area in the garden zone which was not announced and pictured, however became a great pleasant surprise!!! We got a free ticket to the castle nearby (5 min driving) and the castle was amazing too! We spent tere 2 hours It was a great advice to visit it! The owner is nice, quite patient and very friendly. We did not know French, so used google translate to communicate which worked well too.
