Free parking and astonishingly good breakfast including fresh viennoiserie, brioche, fruit compote, unpasteurised farm cheese, real leaf tea....incredible value for money. We were astonished! The people are very welcoming and it was easy to get a car...
The people are very welcoming and it was easy to get a car park. We ate at 'Les Halles', in the town centre, which was awesome due to a large variety of food proposed. There is a museum and a castle within the town centre, which are accessible by foot.

We were only there for one night, so had little time to explore, but we had a wander en route to our restaurant that evening. We saw the river, scrambled up and down several quaint cobbled streets, and were impressed by the number of old, historic buildings and squares.

There is quite a bit to do in Laval and it is quite a vibrant city, we feel that 5 days is about right as we stayed too long and do go and see the cheese museum as it’s fab. People were very helpful, food pretty much as you expect across France. We loved the river running through the centre as well.

THE TOWN WAS CLEAN AND TIDY, WITH A GOOD CHOICE OF BARS AND FOOD AVAILABLE, ON BOTH SIDES OF THE RIVER

An interesting. lively town with a noticeably high...
An interesting. lively town with a noticeably high population of younger people/students. A must see is the chateau, I had free access to the venue to view the well presented art collection, I believe the content is changed on a regular basis. There are plenty of good restaurants and not just pizzas and burgers. There are boats available for hire on the river Mayenne but best to check prior to visit as they were not running when I visted in mid May.

What a great city.
What a great city. I wish I'd have been able to stay longer so that I could see more of it. I found everyone very kind and everyone I met went out of their way to help me (I don't speak French). The Saturday market is well worth attending if you can. Be sure to get there early so you have plenty of time to check out all the vendors. I look forward to my next visit to this beautiful city.

The breakfast buffet was fabulous. Hotel Location was ideal.
As it was a Sunday, parking was free and the parking meters can be topped up to include Monday morning's fee, in advance.
The auto entry and key collection worked fine, but there was also a receptionist present in afternoons and evening and again at breakfast
There's a hidden garden space to the rear, which might be nice in the summer months. It was convenient that we could bring our little dog to stay for a reasonable €5 charge

We use this hotel regularly, as it is a great location, basic but good value, the bathrooms have also been refurbished in the last year, so they are much better. There are good eateries in walking distance.
