Great attention to details, feels very intimate

The location is excellent! Very central and easy to get to. The staff were exceptional, so friendly and helpful.

A lovely hotel with mountain views & full of period features, renovated to a very high standard with a very comfortable & relaxing bar & lounge. Well located on the edge of town ,close to the main bus station giving good links to all surrounding areas. There is even a free shuttle bus running each way between the ski resorts of les deux alpes & Alp du huez. Friendly & helpfull staff giving all the imformation needed to help you make the most of the local area. Food in the restaurant is very nice, again in a grand & spacious room & there is plenty of choice available for breakfast. I will certainly return when possible & would recommend for a short or longer stay in this area.

Lovely location and was exactly what we were looking for. Wonderful hosts, great place as a base for cycling. The food was perfect and the court yard was a great place to relax after a long bike ride. They were so helpful with local knowledge she and suggesting cycling routes to take. The local town is a delight also. Can’t wait to go back to explorer some of the alps that we didn’t get to ride up this time.

The owner knows his business. The hotel is an ideal short stay base for cyclists and hikers. Provides what it needs to provide to a very good standard. Traditional breakfast that is exactly what’s needed to start the day. Owner was generous with storage facilities. Nothing fancy here but very happy to recommend if you know what you are looking for.

Most luxurious ski experience I ever had

Brilliant hotel. Rooms large with balconies overlooking the ski lifts and mountains. The restaurant is 5 star every night. Some of the most amazing meals we have had. Great restaurants and shops around the hotel and easy walk with skis to a small outdoor 4 person stand up gondola to the main ski area.

Location- near forest, easy for walking. 10 min to center. Panorama from terrasse . Stuff was very helpful

Beds were comfortable with plenty of blankets and pillows, rooms were clean and well maintained, hot showers with great water pressure, view from the balcony was amazing. Communal areas were well presented, my room itself wasn’t the most flashy. But very clean, comfortable, quiet and cozy. Which is what i personally value most. Staff on the front desk and restaurant were all friendly, welcoming, professional and attentive. Food was great and reasonably priced. Great access to the slopes, with the skiiable access down to La Grande Sûre chairlift just a few meters across the road, and a quick 200m waddle back from the Village Run access via the Rés Saint-Laurent carpark (may be a slightly quicker return access, but i didn’t check during my short stay). Great town location, only a short walk to a number of ski shops, supermarkets, restaurants and bars. I would highly recommend it, reasonably priced and great value for money.

The views from the Mountain View rooms are absolutely wonderful with no vis a vis. The rooms are larger than average for French Alp hotels and are comfortable and well organised. The bar lounge area is cosy, the breakfast great value. Above all, the staff are superb; friendly, helpful, happy - especially Oksana!! Highly recommend

Really nice clean place , the staff are welcoming and the breakfast was great ! I thought it was a bit nearer to the skiing pistes, booking says it's 3 km from the pistes, but in fact it's 12. Still , I fully recommend the Auberge de Frenay, it gets our gold thumbs up ! Thank you for a great night ,a great sleep and a scrumptious breakfast.
