La Vigenna is a hidden gem it is perfectly suited as a stopover on route further south. The owner gives a very warm welcome providing the history of the former gendarmerie and a short tour of the property. The rooms are exceptionally clean and well appointed. We were the only guests and the swimming pool was ready with towels for us. The room had a small fridge. There are also stunning gites available to book direct. The breakfast was laid out ready for us in the morning with plenty of coffee and tea. We could check out when we were ready. There is nothing not to like about La Vigenna. We received a wonderful local restaurant recommendation on the nearby river!

As a cyclist on the EuroVelo 3 Coliwork Le Saint Romain is a perfect riding distance from Tours. and Chauvigny. I was really surprised at how little I paid to receive so much. The room was very clean, the shower easy and hot, the bed long enough and again very clean, the breakfast meaningful, with a proper coffee. The staff were very friendly and stored my bike in a vast barn, securely and with humour and good English. All for a very reasonable price. A five star stay.🙏🙏

Located exactly where I wanted and was very adequate for one person. Interestingly furnished and lots of collected bits and pieces to enjoy. Lovely to have hot water delivered quickly in all basins and the shower.
