The house is on a quiet road near an attractive village, very convenient for exploring the Thierache. It had good facilities for us as a couple and the bedroom is spacious with a comfortable bed. Marie-Therese is a very welcoming and helpful host.

Isobel and her husband were not only great hosts (exceptionally friendly) in the normal sense of the word, waiting for us on arrival and showing us to our room, but went above and beyond to help us with a motoring issue and directing us to somewhere in the next town who could help. We loved the fact that there was a swimming pool, it was a real bonus as it was during a heatwave. Our room, the "unusual" was amazing, so comfortable, it was located above the communal kitchen are, but was quiet at night. Don't be put off by the fact that this room has a water bed, it was really comfortable, and the air-conditioning was a huge bonus. The hosts were very generous with a whole selection of bits for you to use, the wide variety of hot drinks was a real benefit, and the honesty fridge was well priced and very useful. The location was stunning, and the breakfasts were delicious, one of the nicest we had had. For us everything was perfect, we would definitely go back and stay in the same room again, it was a wonderful stay. Regine was very helpful, especially as we have only just started learning French less than a month ago. On our travels, Google Translate is always our friend for those situations where we need a little help.
