Libourne is a nice little town about 30 minutes from Bordeaux by car, but much quieter than Bordeaux. It has enough shops and restaurants to keep you busy. The railway station has trains to most locations including Bordeaux, Limoges and even Paris. All the famous vineyards are within easy reach by car.

It’s perfect for visiting surrounding area Bordeaux and St Emillion as the train station is close and trains are frequent. Not good on a Sunday or Monday though as not a lot of bars or restaurants open! Saturday was buzzing though.

Libourne is a nice quiet town but well worth a visit for a couple of days or a weekend. The neighbourhoods were very quiet with a fairly concentrated town centre that was quite busy with shops, markets and cafes during the day and restaurants and bars during the evening. The river was very nice for walks as were historic parts of the town. It's only a 6min train ride, short drive or bike ride from Saint Emilion which is definitely worth a day trip. Our best meal was at Sabora Burger which was excellent. Au Bureau was great for happy hour drinks and cocktails and is just over the railway bridge.

Very nice apartment in a quiet area of town but only 10-15mins walk from the centre. The train station is quite close on the way to town, the large Intermarche is 15mins walk and the local bakery is amazing and only around the corner. Libourne is a great town with nice shops, restaurants and walks. The apartment is great for spending time in with 2 sets of balcony chairs, good wifi and a large TV. The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with everything we needed and the host was very helpful and good at responding to messages.

We had an absolutely flawless stay at this hotel. Everything was perfect – from the beautiful design and elegant interiors to the fantastic room fragrances and high-quality bedlinen. Loved it! The hospitality was exceptional. The hosts were wonderful, incredibly helpful, and true experts of the region.

The hotel location is ideal, only a few minutes walk away from the centre of Libourne, and perfect for a base to visit the many vineyards of the area. The room was a good size and the bathroom was nice. The staff was also lovely and gave us good recommendations for dinner.
