Wonderful stay, comfortable clean room, beautiful house, gorgeous views & location, lovely pool, breakfast was delicious with fresh local produce. The owners were really friendly and helpful. They purchased fresh gluten free bread especially from a local village. The homemade preserves were exceptional.

Everything apart from a couple of tiny drawbacks: comfortable (wonderful beds), spacious (including a terrace), elegant, beautifully equipped, marvellous greeting and support from our Franco-British hosts, gorgeous river views, quiet, a couple of minutes from restaurants and shops in the main square, free parking on the street.

The location is only a few minutes from the city center near the old church. The security on the entrance is very good, quite safe. The room itself was fantastic and very comfortable. Our only issue is we couldn’t get the fireplace to work. But everything else was perfect.

It a lovely town with a great square and very good...

It a lovely town with a great square and very good restaurants. Markets are held on Friday morning. We ate at a great tapas bar Steph & Coco, and breakfast at the Boulangerie on the square , both well worth your custom.

The town was busy and sprawling but had every amenity.

The town was busy and sprawling but had every amenity. I believe the river is lovely but we didn't find it. Fabulous supermarket (ELeclerc) and lots of other outlets we didn't visit. Nice place for visiting really interesting places like Carcassonne and Mirepoix. The local bubbly is very acceptable.

Historic town set on the river Aude!

Historic town set on the river Aude! Needs a complete makeover and a lot of money spent by the commune to revive business! However it is an unpretentious, honest little town with good infrastructure and close to many areas of interest. Many restaurants, bistro’s to choose from. Good Friday market! Definitely worth a visit!

Made the booking, travelled far, got to Limoux. Messaged we had arrived, no response at all, no way of gaining entry. Managed after an hour to track down a phone number, called it and again no response. Then Used Whatsapp message but no response for a while, then a message in French that the accommodation was not operating an had not for over a year. The wholke thing was distressing. Why is this property still listed on bookng.com?

The location was really nice and central to Limoux. It is a short stroll to bakery, pharmacy and restaurants. The owner provided a fantastic guide book. The flat is lovingly updated with high quality features- eg electric roll down exterior shutters, and a walk in shower. The back terrace is an oasis of calm ☺️. There is no parking on site, but a free public car park is a two minute walk away and easy to find.

I stayed 2 nights for a wedding in the area. The hotel is 3 min walk from the main square and the river, and 1 min from a Carrefour Express if you need it. The hotel is charming and very clean, the staff are friendly and the Manager even offered me a bottle of water to take to my room when I asked him to fill up my water bottle. I would go back for sure!
