Incredibly peaceful location with a gorgeous rural vista. The house itself is stunning and stylishly decorated. The sixties room is spacious, stylish, and comfortable. The bathroom is gorgeous too. Christine and Laurent are perfect hosts . They are warm and welcoming and very helpful and their dogs, who do not come into the property, are welcoming too. Christine’s delicious breakfasts really set us up for the day. We wanted to visit Bayeux and some WW2 locations and it provided an excellent base. What we didn’t expect to find was the lovely and very personal museum in Tilly-sur-Seurles, or to hear a toad chorus in the nearby countryside in the evening. Utterly magical. We were genuinely gutted that we had to leave. It was the perfect start to our holiday and exceeded all expectations. Merci beaucoup a Christine a Laurent.

Amazing Chateau very well renovated and decorated rooms. Was our second time staying there and we loved it both times :) Great food for dinner and breakfast choice, everything fresh and sourced locally.

Gaiety and elegance are the two words which automatically spring to mind to describe this magnificent 18th-century chateau, a listed building set amongst exquisite French gardens and parkland.

On the evening of arrival Vanessa and family served their dinner board and it was so delicious and as we thought we were done Vanessa served us homemade dessert. The breakfast exceeded all our expectation, Vanessa even makes her own yogurt, granola, jam, juice, pancakes, muffins - and the servings variated from day to day. We felt very welcome. The rooms are very spacious, nicely decorated and very clean. It was very easy to find and very close to the highway. We can only recommend you to stay at Le Haras d'Havetot and we will definitely be back !
