The town (of about 25 residents) and the hotel are from a different era, a nicer one. Very welcoming staff and a restaurant that is the gem of the region. It has quite a few tables and it is always full. Food is Great, prices are very fair and you can tell that people from neighboring towns come here regularly. The hotel and restaurant are family run and you can tell their commitment to service. The room was very clean and has all you need for a nice rest after driving around in the area or visiting medieval towns, like this one. The big extra was coming to the room, opening the window and having the castle right in front, magnificent view. You can hear the water of the river that runs next to the hotel and it is quite soothing. Very calm at night, lovely place to relax. Thanks!

From the moment I arrived, I felt truly welcomed. Febe and Joeri are exceptional hosts, so warm, attentive, and incredibly inspiring. I came looking for a place to disconnect, and what I found was nothing short of another world. The space (more than just a room, truly a house) is both spacious and exquisitely cosy. It’s not only incredibly comfortable (the bed is a piece of heaven) and beautifully decorated, but also exceptionally well-equipped. Every detail reflects care and craftsmanship, especially knowing that Febe and Joeri renovated and decorated it all themselves. The atmosphere is serene and truly magical, and the surroundings are simply breathtaking. Wandering through the nearby forests and along the rivers feels like stepping into a fairytale. The lush vegetation is unlike anything I’ve ever see; so vibrant, rich, and alive. The presence of animals and the beauty of the plants and vines surrounding the property enhance the sense of being in a hidden, enchanted realm. Every corner has its own charm. There are peaceful seating areas everywhere, we can even enjoy a quiet lunch by the river, and the entire place feels deeply harmonious and in tune with the natural world. And then there’s the food… I have never in my life tasted meals so delicious, so beautifully presented, and so thoughtfully prepared. Each dish is a masterpiece, combining organic, locally-sourced ingredients with creativity and passion. The breakfast is a pure joy to wake up to, and the three-course dinner is absolutely divine (worthy of a five-star restaurant!!). It’s rare to find food that nourishes both the body and the soul, but that’s exactly what’s offered here. The amenities, too, are extraordinary. The sauna feels like a sacred retreat, and the Norwegian bath under the open sky is simply magical. Every moment spent here was restorative. I felt fully immersed in nature, with every comfort at hand, and yet completely disconnected from the outside world
