We stayed overnight walking the Chemin de Compostelle. Staying at Les Chaumes Violettes was the perfect place. The facilities in the house are outstanding, spacious, ultra clean & well thought out. The location is wonderfully tranquil & quiet, overlooking farmland & countryside - yet it is only 1.5km outside Cluis. Dinner & breakfast are available at extra cost, we had both: definately well worth having; good value. Dinner was fantastic, a beautifully cooked 3 course meal eaten with the family (a lovely experience), everything sourced either from their own garden or very close by. Various friendly animals to befriend of all sorts in & around the garden! But more than anything, the genuine, friendly, hospitable owners made our stay truly memorable. Thank you!

Beautiful château full of stunning objets d’art. It has been renovated to a very high standard, each large bedroom having a four poster bed. Huge fireplaces, lovely bathrooms, ancient tapestries.

It was a converted farmhouse which has been renovated to a very high standard and we stayed in a separate converted building in the grounds which had two large en-suite bedrooms and a comfortable lounge. The pool and hot tub were available for us to use. It was well appointed , clean and very comfortable.

The most charming host during our “Tour de France”. Excellent room facing the townhall square with view of city life with an excellent “boulangerie” around the corner. Luckily the bells of the town hall take a break overnight 😊
