Located in the centre of Nevers, the Kyriad Hotel offers comfortable, air-conditioned rooms with satellite TV and a work desk. You can sample traditional French cuisine in the hotel restaurant. The best thing about this hotel is its staff. They were helpful…oh, so helpful!! From loaning an umbrella to flash-translating to finding a lost bike key. Also the wait staff in the Karosel restaurant were also 10-star.

Nevers feels like a genuinely small French city along the Loire river, with some history (the Burgundy Dukes had their family residence here), a very old central city area (it was a walled city, dates from the Middle Ages) and some lovely surprises like Cafe Velo, a delicious creperie and a first class aquatic center. Well worth the 2-hour train ride from Paris -- and probably beautiful in spring/summer!
Nevers is a large town with an historic centre. It is a busy hub for trains. There are some excellent walks along the river from the town centre. As large commercial hub there are a number of large hyper markets and all the typical shops associated with them , and also a very large new shopping centre at Marty a satellite town nearby.
Your tourist office is doing a great job. I wrote a few months back and they mailed me Nevers information to our home in the USA. the brochure / map that they supplied is one of the best in all of France. Clearly tells you what the site is all about and clearly shows you were it is.
This is a charming town with an ancient cathedral and surrounding buildings in the old town with narrow lanes and formal gardens running down to the Loire. Beautiful big houses surround the town centre. The people are relaxed and friendly and there are several street cafes/restaurants to eat at. The town is much bigger so there are supermarkets and other shops and facilities too. Great place to stopover on a journey.
Beautiful old town with many historic buildings - but a bit sleepy in August with some restaurants and businesses closed. Good for wandering round and eating in pavement cafes. Fabulous patisserie, displayed like jewellery!
Perfect as a stop on the way over or back from somewhere. Little city that used to obviously be popular for their faience but which has fallen into hard times. Loads of empty or abandonned shops and café/restaurants. Makes it all look very grim. Life has remained on one side of town only. However we tried both an Airbnb on the way down and one night in a Booking.com hotel on the way back (Inter hotel by the train station, very good) as Never was just in the middle of our 11 hour ride. Managed to eat decently at La Simplicité (lovely food and service) and then à l'Agricole (just ok, only opened on a Sunday in August) sleep well. It was convenient. Just don't come here expecting much and all will be fine.
The hotel receptionist was one of the best in my recent memory. We locked our keys in the car and were in a quandry on what to do. She jumped on the phone and made several calls and finally arranged to have the dealer come and solve our dilemma in less than a half hour. But the absolute critical person was the lovely lady behind the counter who kept calling until she found a solution for us. Earlier, she helped us get the cooler rooms and provided us with countless excellent suggestions. She is worth gold to this hotel!!
The apartment is very well finished and contains all you need for a self contained holiday. Whilst the location is not central it is a bout a 20 to 30 minute walk to the centre of Nevers and the Loire. A fantastic bakery is nearby which is open daily from 6:30 (Feuillette). Parkinf on site is free and there is lots of space. The actual building is residential and in need of some paint etc but was very quiet.
Very very friendly staff. You don't have to cover your body with clothes and they bring you to your room. Big corridors shouls be creepy at night ☺️ Close to the railway but that's not disturbing. City is great, but be aware of a lot of motornoises (cars, scooters and crossmoto's) in the city. At the hotel is silence. Rooms a bit basic but very clean. Thanks for our lovely stay ❤️🙏🏼🇨🇵🇳🇱
Nevers
Extremely friendly owners, a British couple who have lived in France for decades. My charging cable failed, and the owner insisted on taking me to a store because my leg was injured. The room and bath were both very nice. I'd definitely like to return here if I have the good fortune to revisit Nevers. All in all a very good choice.
This is a no frills city centre hotel which could do with some tlc but is perfect for a couple of nights in the city centre. There is a great breakfast, a kettle in the room for that early morning cuppa and bikes can be stored securely in the rear courtyard. It is outstanding value for money. Bedding and towels all freshly laundered.
Bed: comfortable king size bed, cleaned every day. Breakfast: good, as you would expect from a 4* Accor hotel. Location: A+ next to city center, ample parking space either infront or below (secured). Only some of the staff speak English, but staff would try to at least get the basics.

Nevers
Chambres des Loges is in a quiet, calm area and yet the centre of Nevers is accessible in 15 minutes on foot. Mathieu is an excellent host: welcoming, attentive, and yet respectful of the guest's privacy. Good value. Recommended.
Fantastic hosts, could not be more helpful, Accommodation first class. Stayed here the last 2 trips to nevers, only a short walk to down. Continental breakfast the best in france, may thanks for a wonderful stay-je vous remercie.
Options are limited in Nevers for a comfortable and economic central hotel. This one is ok, and in theory a good location, but it is very noisy re street activity at night. The hotel and rooms are small an basic, but it works.
Lovely, small but well equipped hotel in a great location for visiting the city. The owner and staff were very welcoming. The air conditioning was an unexpected bonus. Secure storage for our bikes was great.
The bed was huge and so comfortable especially the pillows! Breakfast was fine. Hotel is situated right next to the bridge, it's a pleasant walk into town.
We liked nothing! It was the worst hotel ever. Shabby and dirty. I suggest you take it off your website.
If you are looking for a great place at Nevers, look no further, you found it!!!!
Parking right next to the hotel.
