I have stayed in F1 Hotel maybe 10 times, en route from Perpignan to Cherbourg and returning months later. One time I went to see the town of Bourges. The church was a big dreary grey hulk. Never again. The rest of my day there was quite forgetable. There are other more charming town and villages en route to viit. The hotel displays many brochures of local sights.

Perfect for stopover halfway down France. Restaurants in vicinity were great, unless you are a vegetarian, (but it's France). Great choices for breakfast, great coffee, cereals, fresh bread and croissants, yoghurt, crepes, fresh fruits, boil your own eggs - what fun!

Bourges is a delightful, mediaeval town in central France. Visiting for the first time despite many years fo travelling in and through France, we were delighted by the cathedral and its environment - the architecture is spectacular. We were treated to further appreciation of the façade by a local passer-by. The town is a delight - twisty, narrow streets with lots of interesting little shops, cafés and restaurants. We found a very pleasant Italian one called 'La Scaleta'. Reasonably priced and some delicious italian fare on offer.

The general appearance of the town was clean with lots of plants and flowers. The architecture was was a mix of old and modern with some really interesting old architecture. The cathedral is magnificent as is the area around the cathedral. There is a good choice of restaurants and walking is safe and easy. Getting in and out of the town by car is straightforward and the autoroute is close by.

Medieval town with a majestic cathedral and an impressive castle owned by Jacques Coeur, a swashbuckling character. Aside from its storybook architecture, Bourges has museums, restaurants and small galleries. Great for a long weekend.

Very good place, considering it's a formula hotel at an commercial / industrial site outside the city. Staff and reception was gracious and attentive. Very good break fast. We travel with a 100 % electrical car and all fast chargers are unavailable outside working hours and on Sunday :-( LeClerc near by is free, also on Sunday, while the shop is closed but requires a LeClerc pass :-(
