This is an exceptional property and well worth the effort of driving into the mountains on those windy roads - the views are spectacular! And it’s only 30 minutes to the airport. The property itself is steeped in history: an ancient family homestead, resurrected from ruins and sympathetically restored into a characterful, modern, well equipped small hotel with a beautiful pool overlooking the surrounding hills. It even comes with a donkey! The rooms are comfortable and cosy. The hotel has a small restaurant and we had a lovely meal on the lower terrace whilst listening to owls and watching the stars. We also had a great buffet type breakfast (with homemade yoghurt! Yum!) which is served on the terrace beside the pool whilst the sun rises over the sea. It’s a magical place, made perfect by Jérôme, the host, who went out of his way to make us feel welcome. You enter a hotel when you arrive, but you almost feel like family when you leave. Thank you!
