The location was perfect, central to everything, including the Information office, the castle, the town for sightseeing, shopping and dining. The garden is composed of many sitting areas that stretched out to an overlook of the castle and is a part of the original city walls. The photos on the website don’t do it justice. What a unique place to stay! The house dates from the 15th century and is literally on postcards of Dinan. The owners, Alina and Dominique, were wonderful, friendly hosts who brought us a delicious breakfast every morning and gave us plenty of tips on what to do in the area. They also happen to own Epicerie Fine Saint-Yves downstairs (which is where you should check in) and give all guests a discount on products. The bed was very comfortable, and it was a pleasure to wake up every morning in a historic neighborhood. The location is very central, within walking distance of many shops and restaurants. (Tip if you have a rental car: the designated parking lot for guests is P0 at the Parking Centre Historique on Rue Victor Basch; we accidentally went to P1 at first, which is always full.)
