Everyone at the reception was kind and friendly. Rooms were basic but comfortable, and zero complaints about the water pressure and bathroom. Location wise, there are very few eating places around but a carrefour and a private supermarket just steps away. Or it is about 30 minute walk to the city centre but since we went during a non peak period, we chose to drive down 5 minutes since parking was relatively easy.

The hotel room was simple, spacious and clean. The location is within 7 minutes walking distance from the beach and with restaurants nearby. Staff was really friendly. The family room was quiet and with a door between the parents bedroom and the children bedroom, which is very good.

Fabulous hotel alongside the Méditerranée and the Canal du Midi cycle route. Friendly and welcoming staff and secure overnight bicycle storage in the courtyard or in the underground carpark. Excellent breakfast choice taken on the 4th floor terrace overlooking the sea - wonderful.

The waterways - “Venice of the Mediterranean” The waterside restaurants, in the Pointe Courte especially So many boats! The swing bridges allowing the boats through - massive! The views from Mont St Clair And all this in 48 hours - no time for museums or music….

Its a port city - great seafood, quirky shops, marvellous square with an octopus sculoture that had us intrigued! We loved breakfast at Le Maison Verte and drinks and snacks at several places in that square!

Sete is a working town, not a seaside resort.

Sete is a working town, not a seaside resort. The beautiful beaches are about 15-20 mins away by car. Staying in Sete proper is more of a cultural experience than some stays, less touristy, more real. That said, there are plenty of activities catering to tourists, like canal, lagoon and harbor boat trips, the food is amazing. The beaches are also wonderful and an easy Bolt trip away.

Sete is a lovely town, with distinct areas.

Sete is a lovely town, with distinct areas. The canal area is where the shops, bars and restaurants are with plenty of choices for everyone. As a coastal town, fish is always a popular choice but there are plenty of meat choices everywhere. There are a few chain shops but the majority are independents. There is also a beach area further round the town which starts a corniche all the way to Cap d'Agde. People flock to Collioure further down the coast but for me Sete is a much nicer town with more to do and there are many events all through the year to entertain visitors.

Séte city was beautiful with lots of restaurants and bars. This is known as Venice on the med and I could see why. We were staying in late October but it was still warm and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Don't go to Rome. Sete is much better.

Don't go to Rome. Sete is much better. The amphitheatre is a must see. The town also doesn't feel very touristy. We felt like locals roaming the streets and finding great cafes and restaurants

The location of the hotel is convenient because it is quiet at night, but perhaps too lonely at night and a bit far from the center of town. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is correct for the price usually paid in the area although somewhat limited in options and quantity.

Lovely hotel in an ideal location right beside the canal. Staff were lovely and the rooms were comfortable and well designed. Wifi worked perfectly. Overall, good value for money. We also had dinner in the restaurant which is pricey but extremely good so worth it.

The hotel was across the road from the beach and a lovely walk to restaurants and bars. It was very clean and had a really comfortable bed. Lovely, helpful staff who were always happy to help. Breakfast selection was plentiful and fresh.

The location is excellent. We love the market up the road, the restaurants are all around the hotel. There is a lovely square very close by and you can walk along the canal.
