The room was unique with a spacious clean comfortable bathroom . Plus a towel warmer ! Breakfast very different from breakfast in South Africa - I enjoyed the real French breakfast . We did not use the restaurant . I would like to bring my family next time

A truly beautiful stay at Hôtel Anne d’Anjou. The Superior Loire room was magnificent, spacious, elegant, and with breathtaking views over the Loire River. Waking up to that scenery every morning was unforgettable and definitely worth choosing the Loire side. The hotel is full of charm and perfectly located in the center, making it easy to explore Saumur on foot. The staff were warm and very helpful, especially helping us secure a table at their excellent restaurant, L’Essentiel, which we thoroughly enjoyed. A peaceful and refined stay with classic French elegance throughout. We would happily return and highly recommend it

Great location for us when we were travelling through France to Spain. A lovely old Chateau in a very rural area, great food, large room, friendly staff and a "Dark Sky" when we were there so a magical view of the stars.

Very quirky, unusual hotel with a swimming pool in a cave! Large bedroom - we didn't choose a cave bedroom but our room was large and comfortable. Great buffet breakfast. The manager (and all staff) were great - so helpful and friendly and seemed to work all hours. His English was so good too, nothing was too much trouble - and he has the cutest dog! Brilliant location to visit the Loire area and lots of vineyards around - we had a wine tasting session which was great.

Very unique hotel. Yannick was an amazing host - very engaging, gave us great recommendations on where to visit/dine and also made reservations for us. He was very welcoming, making us feel like we were his guests at his house. Would come back

Breakfast is impressive with local apples juice. Rooms are big and quiet and clean.the swimming pool inside the cave is really a miracle to experience. The hotel is good managed by the owner.

Lovely, quirky hotel overlooking the Loire. Well appointed 'Ocean' spacious double room with a lovely bathroom (with corner bath). Loved the quirky pool built into the rocks!

A unique hotel, your room is 'a cave' but with all the luxury of a hotel. Fantastic pool inside the cave, and breakfast is served on the sunny terrace ( weather permitting)
