Family apartment excellently positioned right in the center of Bayeux near the cathedral. Very relaxing stay in the center with no noise, comfortable beds in two good sized rooms, x2 new shower rooms. Kitchen area large and well stocked with everything you need. Large free parking area 5min walk from the apartment. There is a smaller car park (paying) literally just across the street from the apartment entrance (Halls) which could be a great place to unload passengers and luggage from your car. Large supermarkets just outside the center (5min) drive. If you need anything urgently the host is always available to provide support.

The old town was lovely and the church was natural, insomuch...

The old town was lovely and the church was natural, insomuch the inside was simple, not masses of gold around or huge effigies. There is a lovely river walk. The one downside was the lack choice for cafe's or restaurants and the lack of flexibility with their staff. Tables available, yes. Can we sit there, no. We stop serving in 15 minutes and it would be too inconvenient to fit anyone in.

A rather sad town with hardly any shops or cafes.

A rather sad town with hardly any shops or cafes. The river is sluggish and dirty brown. No public transport or taxis to take us from train station 2km to the residence. A good cheap restaurant is CHEZ ANROCA run by a friendly couple from the French island of Reunion. They served delicious creole food, including excellent fish. Mr Anroca was very kind and gave us a free lift to & from the residence because there were no taxis or buses.

Beautiful medieval town with lots of history.

Beautiful medieval town with lots of history. Quaint little bars and some nice places to eat. Best explored on foot at a slow pace. Pretty countryside and some nice walks. Not the place for you if you're looking for high tech or organised entertainment. Great for peace and quiet and slow pace.

A funky little town with some unusual and very old architecture, and nice little bars, especially the one under the old railway bridge by the river. some great walks in the surrounding countryside. A perfect stopover.

Virtually every street away from the central road is a 1 in...

Virtually every street away from the central road is a 1 in 2 climb (or feels like it) nice views of river as well as pleasant backdrops to it. Number of buildings in Castle like style there is probably enough to see in just the one day or overnight there. Although my travel was in mid Febraury when almost everywhere was closed (Tuesdays and Wednesdays all day on signs) only 1 what you would call hotel was open not many eating places open at night either. After 6pm place like ghost town, which isn't uncommon for France but felt safe to park car or walk down unlit dark walkways although if you have car with electronic parking brake/autohold the inclines of roads make it tricky to reverse in to lots of the road parking bays going uphill. Surrounding countryside was pleasant to drive through but didn't look like somewhare to explore on foot direct from the town. Handy for stop over from A20.

Very interesting picturesque old town built around a Middles...

Very interesting picturesque old town built around a Middles Ages walled township. Walls and stone gateways are mostly gone but lots of ancient houses, commercial enterprises and churches still remain intact, really worth a visit. Then there is the river running through the main town, with great walks and bikeways. Good restaurants, cafes and shops.

We had a great stay and the hotel owner and staff were fantastic. The room was clean and spacious and we were given a great introduction to all facilities. The owners dog 'Omega' is the star of the staff and was extremely friendly with our old dog. The location in the old town is great and driving up the narrow street through an old stone arch is spectacular. We will definitely stay again if in the area.

Easy to find, good location with balcony overlooking river in town centre with easy parking opposite. Well appointed and clean. Rooms have individual combination locks - number sent to you earlier in the day. Kitchen and fridge to use if you wish but cafe/restaurants within few minutes walk. Lovely old town of Uzerche.

Loved the apartment. Very spacious and airy. Could open windows. Parking always available and free outside. Could hear the birds and river. Very convenient location for exploring Uzerche old town mi, going to restaurants. Had a kettle, safe, good shower. Beautiful building, very calm there.
