Located in the heart of the Welsh market town of Abergavenny, Kings Arms Hotel offers bed and breakfast accommodations, a restaurant and free Wi-Fi throughout. The staff make this place such a memorable amazing experience. They were very friendly, accommodating, professional and welcoming. We missed breakfast due to checking out early but were given a bacon & Glamorgan sandwich to go and offered tea & coffee. We will definitely be back again.
The Lamb & Flag is at the foot of the mighty Sugar Loaf Mountain near the bustling town of Abergavenny, at the gateway to the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park. Great location, both for walking into Abergavenny, and the local hills. Breakfast was very good.
The Guest House is located in Abergavenny and has accommodations with a garden and free WiFi, 30 miles from University of South Wales – Cardiff Campus and 31 miles from Motorpoint Arena Cardiff. The Guest House was a comfortable and delightful place to stay in Abergavenny.
Pen-Y-Worlod Cottages has garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Abergavenny, 30 miles from University of South Wales – Cardiff Campus. Everything was wonderful. Such a beautiful cottage so comfortable and cosy. We are going back next year. We plan on going for longer. I highly recommend this beautiful little oasis to any one.
Located in Abergavenny, The Clytha Arms features a restaurant, bar, garden, and free WiFi throughout the property. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a playground. everything! lovely place, very confortable, nice people and very good food
Go to the Casa Bianca for a coffee/ ice cream. They also do meals and are super friendly. Loads of charities and shops plus a good Morrisons. Maybe don't stay in the town the night before an op, as there is too much noise and paper thin walls in the King's Head, plus music playing at night. Stressful. Also poorly lit for female pedestrians early in October ( walk to the hospital).
Lots of lovely scenic walks, river, canal, woods, parks. A fab castle, lots of high street shops and a large market. many places to eat and supermarkets to buy food, which we did. It is easy to walk to places in Abervagenny and short dives, free parking in the town.
Great accommodation, private, quiet, lovely garden, nice places to visit, we had our own transport which you do need if you want to get out and about. Nice town and shops, friendly people and beautiful scenery, would definitely go back again. We cooked in the cottage because everything we needed was there, chilled and watched films in the evening.
Beautiful town surrounded by three mountains, plenty of walking routes. Enjoyed walking up Blorenge. Town centre and Abergavenny castle, although small but interesting. Very friendly and welcoming people. Many other places including castles to visit by short drive
If you love history and do not mind travelling to different places then this is the place to visit. The scenery is also to die for, in Brecon there is also a military museum and in the town, step back in time and visit the old police and court house. There are loads of castles and historical sites to visit and if you join the Welsh historical society, most are free.
We liked the town very much. It is lively with plenty of interesting shops. Not much in the way of historical interest - but then the tourist information office was closed (!) so we may have missed something
All the staff were totally fantastic, I can't fault a single thing during my stay. They housed my mobility scooter safely indoors and put ramps on the stairs to make it safe to get the scooter up to the back dinning room. They all went above and beyond to provide an excellent and relaxing stay. I highly recommend The Kings Arms right in the middle of Abergavenny, Wales.
Wonderful 4 poster bed in very comfy room, great menu and food, very attentive staff and owner chef who went out of his way to make our stay comfortable. Very dog friendly. Good selection of ales and well thought out wine list. Well placed for Abergavenny and beautiful local walks along the river Usk.
A very nicely done apartment with the facilities well organised. A comfortable bed. Parking straightforward outside the property and a 10 minute walk to the town centre. Found it a really good base for touring in the area and some good walks close by. A likeable and helpful host.
I've rented numerous houses in this area over the past 20 years, Pentre Barn is the best of the lot. The owners, Marion and Ian are extremely friendly and hospitable. My family had a wonderful, relaxing time, and I would definitely stay again.
Gail was a really lovely host. The B&B is close to the town centre with lots of restaurants close by. The rooms were spacious and nicely decorated. Abergavenny is a lovely town to explore the Brecon Beacons from.
The garden and outside was lovely, all of the property is clean and decorated to a great standard. The area was nice and peaceful but not too remote, we could still access shops nearby.
Breakfast was good Evening meal in Indian Restaurant attached to hotel was excellent Location was brilliant - right in the middle of Abergavenny
Best breakfast I've had in a very long time. Nice quiet room with excellent shower. A very extensive tray for tea etc in room
Great location, both for walking into Abergavenny, and the local hills. Breakfast was very good.
