The location was very close to the starting point of our hike (Cateran Trail). Filip and Gavin are very hospitable, offering us all the help they could give. Breakfast was amazing and more than we could hope for.

The loft was great: heaps of space and plenty of natural light, plus a well-equipped kitchen. It was a lovely quiet location, and the price was excellent.

We loved this cottage, cosy and bright, beautiful gardens, minutes to the shops tasty chippy, we also visited peel farm for breakfast and reeki linn waterfall, very scary, we didn't get very far up as I'm afraid of heights and it's very steep, but I'm sure it would have been beautiful. Easy to get around Alyth, very peaceful.

The community is close knit and very friendly, people stip to say hello and it is quiet and has history. For a small village square there is lots on offer from the art gallery, museum to classic car restoration and independent eatries to traverse through and historical sitea. The walk to the beautiful waterfall was something you dont experience often.

The location of the hotel was fine.

The location of the hotel was fine. There are also direction signs to the hotel. As it was not too busy with cars, we could park our car right in front of the hotel. The room was not too big if you have a dog staying with you. We had dinner with a lot of our friends in the Alyth hotel and that was very good. Some of our friends live in Alyth. We had a chance to walk around Alyth on Sunday. It was beautiful. We also noticed that there are golf courses nearby.

It is a nice base to see Blairgowrie & Dundee. I’m sure there are other brilliant places within a short drive. We went swimming in Dundee but were disappointed to find the flumes out of action. This seems to be an ongoing issue but the 1m deep pool was still fun for us. There is also a swimming pool & sports hall in Blairgowrie, next to the High School. We booked table tennis (less than £6 for 1 hour), played some indoor football & were tempted to stay & play badminton too. All equipment was provided & the staff were very helpful & friendly. Perth & Kinross have a Live Active app. You can sign up for a free membership, this then allows you to see all the facilities available in a number of centres. My husband had played one of the nearby courses (I believe there are 3 in close proximity) during a previous stay in Blairgowrie. He rated the course very highly. The weather was better than expected during this stay & he wishes he had brought his clubs.

Lands of Loyal is a superb stopping off point to explore the Angus glens, Perth and beyond. Is around 30 minutes from Perth, Dundee and the Angus coastline. Alyth has a large "den" (read country park) to enjoy walks and some local shops to get any provisions you may need. It's pretty traditional small agricultural village (until they finish the 100's of new build in the village) and offers a good base to explore from

I would call the hotel the Shangri-la. The foyer with the large fire was your first taste of comfort. The rooms were chintzy and the bed enormous. All in all a delightful experience with the staff and the meals excellent.

Stayed for 2 nights. Lovely, cozy and clean property. Fab location just a minutes walk from the river. There are several shops nearby and a decent golf course (Alyth) is a 5 minute drive. Would book again.
