This is one of the best holiday homes we have stayed in. The location right by the sea is simply fantastic, with direct access to the beach through a gate in the fully enclosed garden, which was perfect for our dog. The views are beautiful, and it is an ideal place to relax and unwind. The house is exceptionally well equipped and feels like a real family home rather than a typical holiday rental. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need, the living room is cosy and comfortable, and the outdoor seating area is perfect for enjoying the surroundings. We also really appreciated the thoughtful welcome items such as tea, coffee, milk and biscuits, as well as the helpful local information and restaurant recommendations. Everything was spotlessly clean, and it was clear that the hosts put a great deal of care and attention into making their guests feel at home.

What guests said about Bacton:

Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.0

Bacton has a lovely long quiet beach.

Bacton has a lovely long quiet beach. There are one or two takeaways and shops but if needing more, you would need to visit Mundsley or the busier town of Cromer. When visiting, best to bring your own supplies and be willing to walk or drive to the nearest decent pub or restaurant. After 9:30, nothing at all was open in Bacton.

I didn't get to see the whole of Bacton due to my short stay, but was I did see was very nice, very clean. It is dog friendly (I don't have a dog) and the shops and cafes I frequented did welcome dogs. When I was there it was quiet, which is why I picked the time I did. If you wanted to venture further afield you have Cromer approx 25 mins away and you have Mundesley approx 5 mins away. If you have a campervan there are park ups alongside the sea front from where you get an amazing view of the sea. There is a Londis shop that pretty much provides all the essentials and more. I visited a lovely pub (The Lighthouse Inn) for a meal that was really nice and with friendly Staff and the Watsons Cafe were I had a lovely breakfast.

Beautiful beaches, wheelchair accessible to view the beach but not to get right down to it. Lots of cafes and and a few pubs within a few minutes drive. There is woodland nearby. Incredibly friendly people around. Generally a lovely place.

The beach at Bacton is it's main attraction with a lovely long stretch of beach and parts of it are dog friendly with some restrictions as per usual. It is a good base to stay and visit other places close by, e.g. Happisburgh, Mundesley, Cromer or further afield.

Not suitable if you’re looking for nightlife, but if you just want a quiet getaway it’s ideal. The village is quite spread out and in our short stay we found an excellent little store, a Chinese restaurant and takeaway, a fish and chip shop and a superb little cafe called Watsons. I’m sure there’s more - we’ll investigate further next time.

We had a wonderful weekend at Seals Bacton after travelling to the area for a wedding. The hotel is in an amazing location, right on the beach. The hotel was cosy, comfortable and clean and the breakfast was excellent value for money. What really sets Seals Bacton apart from other hotels is the staff. Everyone we encountered was extremely welcoming, friendly and accommodating. Thank you for such a lovely stay!

Location is great, very peaceful and only a couple of minutes to the amazing beach at Bacton. We stayed with 2 small dogs and thoroughly enjoyed it :) will be back!
