We did not see anything of Beaminster. It was only a one night stop over. The town looked pretty and there are things to see and do in the neighborhood. Will visit again and would stay at the Ollerod again. Had an excellent dinner at the Ollerod.
We travelled around the area and theres a lot more we could have gone to see. We visited Weymouth, Monkey World, Bridport, Abbotsbury, Lulworth Cove & Durdle Dor, Chesil Beach and West Bay. Great base. Enjoyed a meal at River Cottage in Axminster.
Lots of places to visit from beamin after. Westbay, Portland, Weymouth, monkey world all within driving distance. Yeovil is also a short drive away and has a little town centre with a variety of high street names
We did not go into Beaminster as the trip was to celebrate a family wedding at "Etonbury" Mostly we ate with family. We did eat first evening in the village pub in Mosterton and that was excellent. Good food and good service The whole area is beautiful. We visited Seatown where some bathed in sea and ate in Pub. Visited Lyme Regis too. Quite good
Lovely area but very busy so best to avoid the roads around Dorchester in high season. Fabulous coastline nearby. Ate in Beaminster at the Red Lion which was very good value and an interesting building.
Right in the centre of Beaminster with all the facilities you could want and parking on site. Well designed and comfortable cottage
