Lovely cosy cottage in the perfect location for our anniversary. The fresh eggs, milk and bread were much appreciated as well as Prosecco in the fridge - thank you! The log fire had instructions for use and plenty of coal and logs to keep it going - our little dog particularly liked snoozing by the fire. The cottage was clean and tidy and towels and a hair dryer were provided. It was lovely to sit and have breakfast whilst watching the birds in the garden - plenty of bird seed to give them their breakfast! The hosts have obviously put a lot of effort into making guests feel welcome.

Bethesda town isn't exactly brimming over with cosy gastro pubs. However, as a base for walks, for Zipworld, for short drives to other towns, it's absolutely idyllic. Find yourself a good place to stay, be ready either to cook for yourself or to go to a neighbouring town for restaurants, and enjoy the countryside! It's beautiful, and it's not spoilt in the way that Betws-y-Coed has been.
We stayed to do the Velocity2 at ZipWorld and were made to feel very welcome by everyone we met in the village. It was a shame to have to leave so soon so we will be going back again. We were visiting out of season so the local Hotel and Restaurant wasn't serving food but there were plenty of takeaways and there's a small Tesco for supplies.
Didn't really get to look around the village much, but what I saw of it was nice. We were there for activities in the surrounding countryside which really great. we went to zip world which is (expensive but) definitely worth experiencing one time. We also had walks in the local area. We were able to do ordinary food shopping in the village and find some good restaurants in Bangor which is just 15 minutes up the road. We liked it and would definitely stay there again because there is plenty to do in the area.
Very good location to use as a base for many trips out. local pub in Rachub just down the road was very good.Plenty of choice for eating (Takeaway) good local amenities.Bethesda is close to many seaside places 20 mins to Snowdon. Down side was the condition of the roads in Rachub.
Lovely little village with lots of shops but the opening hours seem to be very brief! e.g. there are only two places to eat in the evening and one of them wasn't doing food that day! The other had stopped serving at 7 pm. There are plenty of takeaways though and a Tesco express. Quiet place very close to beautiful walks through lovely woodland and rivers/streams. Very close to the zipwire which we unfortunately didn't have time to experience.
Bethesda is a village that has a Tesco extra, takeaways and pubs. Access from back roads can be made via a park. This was full of broken glass and o e night the bin was set alight! I feel Bethesda could do with more for the younger generations. We visited the Vaults pub. Really nice food and atmosphere:) Location to main tourist spots is fantastic, 10/15 minute drive to most!
