Located just North of Glasgow, Ardoch House Boutique Hotel is an award winning, 5 Star Rated property located on the West Highland Way, a short drive away from Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National... Really enjoyed the peace & quiet of the property. It wasn’t too busy while I was there. Amanda & Bennie we’re very nice and let me pick between two family rooms, as there were 4 adults in our family group. We stayed in the lower level, which had two large beds and a small cot style bed. Ceiling is all coved wood & beautiful! Kitchen is for all to use and is updated stocked well. They provided a big choice of breakfast items, including fresh eggs! We eat at the lovely dining room table and chat with a lovely couple who has slept in one of the tents outside.
Located just outside Glasgow, West Highland Way Hotel and Campsite is a 5-star rated property located on the West Highland Way, a short drive away from Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. Great value loved the accommodation. Dinner was well worth the money also breakfast was great
Boasting a restaurant, Kirkhouse Inn is set in Strathblane and also provides a bar and a shared lounge. All units in the inn are fitted with a TV. The hotel is in a very good position. Our bedroom was huge, very comfortable bed and pillows, which was what we needed after 30 km walking. Dinner was great, staff was very friendly, helpful and polite.
Featuring accommodation with a patio, Luxury and Peaceful 1-bed Roundhouse with Hot Tub is located in Mugdock. A great little place away for the hustle and bustle of modern life. Wonderful views with a cosy fire and a super hot tub. All a couple would need for a few days of quiet time together.
Located in Milngavie, 2.7 km from Mugdock Country Park and 1 km from Starting Point of the West Highland Way, West Highland Way Rooms provides city views and free WiFi. Location is excellent. Restaurants and shops are all within a very short walking distance. Also train station is only 100 metres away. Very clean, comfortable apartment and the owner Gerry could not have done more to make our stay more enjoyable. Great spot!
Featuring a restaurant, West Highland Apartments - The Nevis features accommodation in Glasgow with free WiFi and city views. The property was gorgeous and in a great location to explore the beautiful town of Milngavie. It was spacious and had all the accommodations arranged perfectly.
Set in Milngavie, 2.4 km from Mugdock Country Park and 50 metres from the start of the West Highland Way, West Highland Apartment offers a living room with a flat-screen TV, and free WiFi. Everything. Unclear on cleaning fee. I’m guessing that is a fee if people leave it a mess, correct? Not extra charged.
Situated in Milngavie, West Highland Way Campsite offers accommodation with a patio or a terrace, free WiFi and flat-screen TV, as well as a restaurant and a shared lounge. A delightful B&B located right off the John Muir Way, with fabulous tales from the owner, Andrew, to boot. We slept well and in the warmth of a big bed, in contrast to the original plan to sleep outdoors.
Beautiful location, lovely house and very comfortable family room. Extremely dog friendly (owners dogs were frequently present and very friendly too). Dinner adequate but expensive for what it was and breakfast was fine but no cereals on offer; fruit, pastries and yoghurts available though. Didn’t expect to pay for hot drinks which would normally be provided in the room. We felt this was disappointing and surely could have been included in the price. Take a flask of tea with you!
Lovely rooms in a friendly hotel that welcomes dogs. Location out of this world with a very friendly owner Drew and his staff. We strongly recommend Ardoch house not forgetting its variety of glam ping and camping, please see the shepherd’s hut below. Definitely a 10/10 rating and highly recommended
Great place to stay. Clean and comfortable with friendly and helpful staff. Bed comfortable, shower great, food available if you want. Loved having a fire at night and exploring the area in the day. Dog friendly. Kids loved the rope swing and running about with freedom.
We were on a cycling trip along the John Muir Way heading out towards Balloch. Blanefield great to explore in itself for a cycle, before heading onwards. Great friendly locals to help find our way when we got lost.
Liked the location and informal feel of the place. Good views. Didnt like shared toilet facilities. Said on website private bathroom. Overpriced menu for dinner. No tea or coffee facilities or glasses.
Not easy to find but probably a method to the madness because it is a little gem hidden in the hills so avoidable by loud rowdy groups. I location to access to many activities and wonderful sights and still close to local shops, pubs and restaurants. Beautiful old manor house with tasteful furniture and decor, the bed was wonderful to sleep in (I think I had the best room in the house...hoorah!). 50in flat screen TV with SKY Sports...free!!! Good Wi-Fi connection. So comfortable and certainly therapeutic for winding down, breathing in fresh, oxygenated air. Great tom dine in or BBQ or cook on an open fire. Bring you dogs and let them fully enjoy the freedom to roam untethered.
