Fabulous little guesthouse in centre of Drymen. Room was lovely decorated and just what we wanted. We had dinner and breakfast in Drymen Inn which is associated with the property. Food was great. Fresh and lots of it. Would highly recommend these two establishments.
Shandon Farmhouse is 1mile, 15-20 mins walk north of Drymen village. Access to the WHW is just 1 mile north of the farm. All rooms come with a flat-screen TV and tea/coffee making facilities.

A great location, unfortunately the weather meant we didn't get to spend time in the garden. Breakfast was good, lovely host. Beds comfy, room was great.

Set up like a lovely guest house, it's newly renovated we had a king room and it was spacious. There is no fridge which could be an issue if there for longer than a night or 2. There was no fresh milk on arrival but the host was happy to give us some which was lovely. It was a comfortable stay but the best part of was the breakfast that was included and offered in their beautiful dining room, felt like home.

Ideal location for exploring Loch Lomond and in easy reach of the trossachs! The village has independent shops for food and provisions plus a very good pub! There's a lovely path immediately opposite the Buchanon Arms approx 200m leading to a viewing area with benches to look out on the trossachs!

Nice visit if get right accommodation.
Nice visit if get right accommodation. Unfortunately we stayed at the Buchanan Arms Hotel, and I have uploaded a bunch of photos of our supposedly SUPERIOR KING room - 2 singled beds pushed together.
The Mill House is lovely to go to for drink and meal. nearby hotel entertainment is on in local pubs.

I would say the hotel is a no frills establishment.
I would say the hotel is a no frills establishment. It's clean and comfortable , but in my view is tired and in need of updating. For me and has been mentioned many times by others is the poor breakfast on offer. In all the hotels I have stayed at I've never had to book for breakfast giving a specific time. Sadly one day we forgot to book so was turned away . Once at breakfast, you will constantly be asking for items to be refreshed , from the fruit juices to the bread for toast. The hotel seem to restrict what is put out. There is no proactivity from any of the staff, they have to be asked to do anything rather than act on something that we can all see need's doing. The hot food served was never hot as clearly it was already prepared and just waiting to be brought out. Overall our stay was ok , in a great location but is let down by what I have described above. You pay your monies and make your choice.
The location was fabulous .... a rural location on the outskirts of Drymen. Very convenient for visits to Loch Lomond, Balmaha, Rowardennan, Balloch, and for hiking on the West Highland Way and and climbing/walking on local hills. Plus a relatively short drive to Glasgow, Stirling and Edinburgh.
Exceptionally comfortable and modern property. Warm and cosy and very well appointed. Owner, Jenny, met with us on arrival and gave us some helpful guidance on local attractions and nearby pubs and eateries.
The property is lovely and perfectly located in the heart of Drymen for all local amenities. The owner Arwen made me very welcome which was so nice as I was staying on my own after a charity marathon, she was so helpful and friendly. I would definitely return here if staying at Loch Lomond.
Lovely spot to enjoy rural stay. Horses, deer, sheep in the fields. Close to town of Drymen and Loch Lomond. Good facilities; we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
