Situated in the heart of Loch Lomond National Park, The Winnock Hotel, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western is set in an 18th-century building and features an on-site bar and a restaurant serving... Charming old building in the center of the village. The hotel is old-fashioned and certainly not new, but it’s a perfect solution for walkers. The photo shows the view from my room looking out on the village green. I liked it!
Situated in Drymen, The Clachan Inn has a restaurant, bar, garden, and free WiFi. Boasting luggage storage space, this property also provides guests with a terrace. Friendly staff, spotless room, great bar meal, good selection of beers and malts, we had the best time there and can thoroughly recommend. We are doing west highland way and stayed on our first night and really they showed what real hospitality is all about.
Located near to the village of Drymen in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, Lomond Luxury Lodges offers lodges with 1,2 or 3 bedrooms with a choice of private hot tub, saunas and spa baths. Everything from the moment we went through the gate. Lovely little comfortable cabin with its own private hot tub.
Located in the charming conservation village of Drymen, Ashbank Bed & Breakfast offers cosy bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. Set on the West Highland Way, it is a 30-minute drive from central... Great stay during our walk of the West Highland Way. Nice, quiet and clean room and good breakfast.
Angel Cottage has garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Drymen. Fitted with a patio, the units feature a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with shower and a hairdryer. The place is fantastic. Arwen (sorry about the spelling) was a warm and welcoming host. The breakfast is incredible. The best we have had with fresh fruit, eggs , bacon, sausage, cereal , bread, meats and cheeses . There is so much more. The WiFi is strong and the location is perfect
Located between Drymen and Gartocharn, Kilmaronock Manse B&B offers free WiFi, and free onsite parking. This listed Georgian property is surrounded by mountain scenery and overlooks Loch Lomond. Beautiful views, comfortable accommodations, and warm and gracious owners/operators.
The location was good as it was easy to get to both east & west coast of loch Lomond. We had a lovely meal at the Clachan Inn and would highly recommend it, it's bigger than it looks. If you fancy a climb with good views, then try Conic hill at Balmaha.....although we found it quite difficult.
Liked the bar staff. Didn't like that there was no restaurant and we had to eat in the bar which lacked any atmosphere and had a limited menu. Wouldn't have booked if we had been informed that there was no restaurant. Probably a good place for a base when exploring the Loch Lomond area if the price was right. No romantic eating as advertised. Rooms ok.
We really liked the location although parking was a problem - for the amount of guests it was a small car park which was made even smaller due to tables and chairs having to be spread out for social distancing! The local food was amazing we recommend fish and chips from the chippy.
Ok for a stop over for the west highland way hikers but wouldn't be ideal for a long stay especially with kids as not much to do in drymen. If you want to eat at the clachan inn you have to book in advance. If you want to dine out there isn't much choice. There is a spar shop across from clachan inn The bus to balmaha is easy enough to get to I stayed for 2 nights with my kids and there was dust on the bedside tables and hairs on the bathroom floor The TV wasn't working and there was a smell in the room. The staff are friendly enough and lots of hand sanitiser about the place.
Lovely, quaint wee village with friendly locals near beautiful Balmaha where you can enjoy lovely long walks. The Oak Tree Inn is a fab place to stop for lunch or dinner. The views there are stunning.
I would not recommend this hotel. It was very cold, the kitchen is closed in the evening and breakfast was very basic. Coffee was awful too. The roof of the gym was leaking and staff strategically placed towels to soak up the brown coloured water dripping from the ceiling. There was several towels scattered around the area. The decor is also very dull, needs updating. We had a meal in the local pub which was amasing, we sat beside the open fire to warm up. Food was sourced locally and cooked in the pub.
Our family had the most wonderful holiday at Strathendrick House. The house was generous, warm and had everything we could possibly need for our week long stay. By far the standout for our children were the amazing grounds. It was the perfect location for catching up with family and friends. We will definitely be coming back!
