Muriel, the landlady, was extremely helpful, friendly, and one of the highlights of our stay in Scotland. The guesthouse was cosy and comfortable, with decent-sized rooms and all the facilities we needed. Breakfast was cooked to order with nice variety and left us very satisfied. Overall very highly recommended for a lovely countryside stay!
Callander is a town surrounded by exceptional beauty but like a lot of towns has suffered from the pandemic and economic turmoil. It needs you! Help Callander get back to a bustling tourist location. It is a place for all seasons.
Lovely nice clean place plenty of lovely walks numerous places to eat .There's a bus service to take you to Stirling if you wish to go which runs frequently. Friendly people . Lovely walk to The Lade Inn nice place too stop for a coffee friendly staff .
Nice, very safe, well kept, small town with good shops & restaurants, not far from Stirling. Although Roman Camp Hotel is very secluded, it’s actually on the Main Street, on the banks of the river Teith.
Callander is a lovely little town with plenty of shops, supermarkets, restaurants, take-aways and walks. The fisheries are beautiful, plenty of benches to sit at and walks around it. I had a fish supper from the Frying Dutchman which was superb, and the second night ate at The Riverside Inn which was equally as delicious. All very good prices. The wine shops are lovely and little gifts shops and plenty of cafes.
Amazing place, beautiful walks, lots to do. It would be a lovely place to live. Great shops, I bought some beautiful homemade shortbread and cookies from maggie’s bakery. Amazing. Would be nice if there were more food shops with different varieties.. like Persian, Indian or Jamaican food. Apart from that it was magical and I would love to visit again in summer.
