The location is amazing, and the staff couldn’t have been any more friendlier towards us. We had an overnight stay which we thoroughly enjoyed. Hotel room was spot on. Really enjoyed the restaurant as we ate there for dinner, highly recommend. The two people at the front of house on the Friday evening were lovely!

We had a very comfortable stay. Everything is spotless. The room is huge and cosy, with large windows that offer plenty of light. The mattresses are super comfortable. There is a selection of coffees and teas as well as milk in the fridge. It was a nice detail to have also an oat milk option. The shared bathroom is big, beautifully decorated, with plenty of toiletries. Egle is a top host. She is so kind and helpful.

Very nice cozy room, with a small but very comfortable bed with the best sheets in the world. So quiet at night, no need for earplugs, you'll get a good rest. And after that a healthy breakfast awaits you served by the lovely owners who make your stay as comfortable as possible. The location is close to some parts of the Highlands of Scotland. We absolutely enjoyed our 3 nights.

We loved every minute in the Villa. From the moment we got there we had the warmest welcome from Muriel. She was absolutely amazing. Helped us with our queries and more. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated, beds comfortable, breakfast delicious. Location spot on in the middle of the town. Definitely will book again if we come back to Callander.

From Ben Ledi to Callander you pass a loverly shop which has a very nice cafe it also has highland cows and you can purchase food for £1 from the shop to feed the cows they are very gentle. The pub the Weavly is a very nice pub were you can get a nice drink and a very reasonable priced meal.

The town as everything you need, several pubs and resturants...

The town as everything you need, several pubs and resturants, shops, small supermarket (Tesco express opposite property) Co-op the other end of High Street. Tourist Info centre had lots of walking, cycling leaflets and places to visit. A good weeks worth of walking & cycling from the front door.

The atmosphere was friendly it was busier than it has been. Disappointed to see so many businesses boarded up. Even Greggs?!?! The Dreadnought was much better looking since Caledonian took over. Live music could pay dividends for the Waverley as it was dead on Saturday night?!?!?

Family of 4 including two teens.

Family of 4 including two teens. They were able to please themselves and look around the town with ease or go to the rec over the bridge, and we had time to enjoy the lovely independent shops in Callander and visit a pub or two. We had fish and chips one night from the town and visited the ice cream shop, but there's a good variety of places to eat and drink. We did some great walks up to the Bracklin Falls and the crags. You can also take a longer walk/run around Loch Venacher and the public path takes you through a lovely farm (Achray farm) where they sell ice cream and sorbet - you can drive there also. We used Callander as a base and had days out to the highlands and visited Glencoe, and also went to Loch Lomond, Stirling, Glasgow and Edinburgh. Visited in August. Be prepared for midges in abundance!!

Historical place for a stop on your way to The Highlands. Good Crown Hotel with excellent continental breakfast for a reasonable price. Free parking all day close by behind the Crown Hotel on Glenartney Rd.

The last town on the A84 before the Highlands. You can feel the surrounding hills calling you North. Great for food, just stopping by the river, or a bit of shopping. One of the UK's great small towns.

The staff were attentive & efficient & friendly. We had one of the best breakfasts which was delicious with a wide choice. Roaring fires in the main areas - although as it was very cold during our stay & because we had our dog with us so weren't able to take advantage of sitting by the fireplace . The querky building is a lovely change from a standard hotel,with all the history associated with it.

we were supposedly booked into another hotel and at the last minute we were told there was no booking. thankfully there was a room available at the Dreadnought hotel for us. it worked out better for us and have no negatives to report and certainly value for money and a brilliant base to any of the activities available to the area. will stay again no problem at all.

Clean, modern and extremely well fitted out and supplied. Sunny garden and patio area ....great for afternoon drinks after our walks. Safe for our dog.
