Lovely small villge, with beautiful preserved historic buildings, excellent stocked spar shop including home made local jams, superb butcher, selling locally reared venison and friendly pub with decent real ale, Plently of walking on doorstep and lots more within easy driving distance.

It was only an overnite stop so didn’t explore the area, but was within 20 minutes driving distance of St Andrews where we had activity’s planned. The property we stayed in was in a lovely quiet place and we could watch the birds flying around. Would stay here again if in the area. Caroline a lovely host.

Lovely village to walk around;
Lovely village to walk around; local shop with long opening hours; terrific butcher's (great pies!). Shops - not many, but interesting - antiques; vintage clothes; handmade gift/soft furnishings; Wemys Ware pottery. Two nice tearooms. Friendly welcome at the Ceres Inn, which does not do food. As of April 2019, Meldrums Hotel which did dinner and lunches is shut awaiting new management, so nearest place for good food is St Andrews 7 miles away. Car recommended, local bus service is poor. It doesn't take long to get to the many tourist attractions and fishing villages in Fife.
