Very clean, modern, homely house with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms! Little touches - bread and butter and milk on arrival, welcome notes, takeaway and restaurant leaflets, immaculately clean bedding and towels! Parking for 2 cars, garden, washing line. Very friendly owner.

Breakfast was amazing, I really appreciate the small buffet and make to order concept. Can highly recommend the Derbyshire breakfast, this is the full English breakfast experience. Softboiled eggs and soldiers were also out of this world! The room, facilities and the view from the room was incredible and the staff was super friendly and helpful!

Very good breakfast (English or continental), spacious room with large and confortable bed and beautiful bathroom. Friendly and very helpful staff. Good location, near to Belper. The Indian meals served in the pub are very good too: we arrived late but have a table and very good dinner.

Spacious venue with beautiful well kept grounds, stately! It was my daughter's wedding and the package deal they delivered was indeed excellent. Gracefully decorated with a perfect mix of traditional and modern touches. Everywhere you looked was a great photo opportunity. Ceremony room was so tastefully done and the wedding breakfast was delicious. The bar area and reception were great, but it's a huge space to fill with lots of seating areas away from the main disco/reception room so if you don't have a huge wedding party it can look a bit sparse but overall it was a wonderful day perfectly done. Outdoor patio seating areas too with string lighting and patio heaters. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean and the bed was really comfortable. Shower was hot and powerful. Breakfast was included in our booking but you can pay a reduced price without. Excellent breakfast choices ranging from pastries, cereals and including full English options. Very tasty indeed. Refillable tea and coffee juice etc which we could help ourselves to throughout our stay. Ample parking but get there early if you want a spot at the front. Overall a great experience. Would definitely book again.
