Big room, big bed, big bathroom. (Finally, comparing to many small hotel rooms). Our room had a corner with refrigerator, coffee and tea facilities. There is a big free parking place for guests. There is continental breakfast, but it is communicated ahead, we knew it. There were fruits, cereal, yoghurts, farm eggs you can boil as you like, meat, cheese etc. Actually after many days of full scottish breakfast at other accomodations I was very happy with fruits and all the orher choices here. For us it was a very good breakfast. Staff was very nice. Restaurants are in next town, cca 5 min drive. It is out of town but that is why we chose it. Quiet place, our room faced the garden at the back, we didn't hear the traffic on the road (yes, it is by a main road: again that is why we chose it, it was on our route).

The castle boasts wonderful spaces, even if they aren't meticulously designed. It exceeded our expectations because we were given an apartment, which we didn't know...superlative! Great staff who were very friendly and always happy with a smile and also to help. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Room was comfortable, clean and spacious for our needs. Nice, cosy hotel. The rooms are as advertised, have all the amenities we needed for a short stay. The staff are warm and welcoming, and the property has recently started dinner service from Wednesday-Sunday, which was delicious and reasonably priced. We would recommend this hotel to all.
