Amazing place. The house was built in 1823 and you can feel it in the atmosphere of the place. It's not only about it's age, but most of all about the great renovation work that was done by the new owners since 2003. It's a great story - you can read it in the materials you will find in your room. Basically, it's a XIX century palace that was magically transferred to year 2023 (and fitted with plumbing and electricity). Most importantly, the staff was exceptionally friendly. The night manager that checked us in when we were late after a 4-hour whale boat trip was just amazing. I should have asked about his name...

Big room, big bed, big bathroom. (Finally, comparing to many small hotel rooms). Our room had a corner with refrigerator, coffee and tea facilities. There is a big free parking place for guests. There is continental breakfast, but it is communicated ahead, we knew it. There were fruits, cereal, yoghurts, farm eggs you can boil as you like, meat, cheese etc. Actually after many days of full scottish breakfast at other accomodations I was very happy with fruits and all the orher choices here. For us it was a very good breakfast. Staff was very nice. Restaurants are in next town, cca 5 min drive. It is out of town but that is why we chose it. Quiet place, our room faced the garden at the back, we didn't hear the traffic on the road (yes, it is by a main road: again that is why we chose it, it was on our route).

Great staff who were very friendly and always happy with a smile and also to help. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Room was comfortable, clean and spacious for our needs. Probably one of the comfiest beds ever! Stunning window view, abslute cleanliness, very welcoming and Friendly. The most outstanding thing about the place is how well it's maintained its authenticity. Very scottish 😍. Cozy breakfast place and bar with amazing view. Just lovely.

A must-say hotel near Inverness. A well-preserved historical activity center is located in a beautiful area surrounded by trees and is highly recommended for families and others. The price stood very reasonable and still offers all the amenities like a star hotel including specious open car park space and served breakfast. We did not join on activities as our trip was only for two days I would suggest exploring the local area and trying those activities as well. It is indeed a value-for-money place to look out again in Scotland.

Breakfast was good. Continental but included fresh soft fruit. There was also the opportunity to boil your own egg. Host was friendly and helpful. Place was vey quiet, scarcely any other guests. Room was warm and usefully had a small table and chairs. It also had a very useful fridge.

Setting, the informality but with hotel-standard accommodation. Lovely Continental breakfast with upgrade if wanted. Ability to use Dining Room to self-cater in the evenings. Was delighted my request for a disabled-friendly room was able to be met.....Thanks Angela...!
