Sandford Country Cottages, hotel in Cupar

Sandford Country Cottages consists of five 1, 2 and 3 bedroom, self-catering properties set around the courtyard of a 'B'-listed arts and crafts house.

The Baillie Scott cottage was very nice - clean, roomy, comfortable and convenient. For golfers - we were close to great golf courses and St Andrews. The entire place was lovely. Evelyn and Ralph were gracious and friendly hosts. I highly recommend Sandford Cottages…will definitely stay again next time we visit Scotland.

Meldrums Apartments, hotel in Cupar

Meldrums Apartments is a recently renovated apartment in Ceres where guests can make the most of its garden and bar. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking, and free Wifi.

The property is large and the parking was plentiful. Once we got into the unit, the layout was very nice. The kitchen was large and well-equipped. The living area was comfortable and made it easy to relax. The bedroom was large too and made it very comfortable. The bathroom was nice and the shower was good too. We loved the location. The town is very quaint with a grocery store just up the road and St. Andrews just 10 minutes away. We had a problem with a kitchen appliance and the owner responded well.

Holiday Inn Express Dundee, an IHG Hotel, hotel in Cupar

A modern hotel in central Dundee with breakfast included and free WiFi.

The size of the room was very roomy. The staff was really helpful with suggestions about whiskey, area , restaurants, and transportation. One person was really helpful, but I can't remember the guy's name. His father was in the Royal Air Force, and he lived in Gibraltar.

Cupar is ideally placed to travel around Fife..

Cupar is ideally placed to travel around Fife.. We mainly visited St Andrews as our great nephew was attending the university. We dined in St Andrews for all our meals so we cannot say anything about dining in Cupar. There seems to be plenty of choice when venturing around as to what and where to eat should suit many a healthy appetite.

This is a lovely location and Gillie is an excellent host.

This is a lovely location and Gillie is an excellent host. The rooms are all on the ground floor, lovely and very comfortable and overlooking the garden which is several hundred metres from the road down a private lane. This is a high standard b&b and the best accomodation I have stayed in when staying in the fife area.

Cupar is a historic town dating back to the 7th century..

Cupar is a historic town dating back to the 7th century.. An excellent and authentic example of Scottish tradition in particular around the area where Cupar Burgh Chambers is located. Visit the museum next to Cupar Station. Crossgate is it's main axial road and has everything you need. Fisher and Donaldson have two bakeries in the town - a small one in Crossgate and a tea room next to the large Tesco. Try their stovies, fudge doughnut or a marzipan fruit or Belgian biscuit but lot's more!! A wonderful base for exploring the beautiful Fife countryside with it's quaint villages and St Andrew's itself - get a bus and try some whiskies there!!" The Fife Folk Museum in the nearby village of Cerus is very interesting and has a tea room. The Deer Park a must go to venue with lots to do and see for all ages.

Cupar is a nice place. Friendly locals.

Cupar is a nice place. Friendly locals. Convenient for St Andrews and the East Neuk. I enjoyed my dinner at 'The Press' (venison and smoked Applewood lasagne) and lunch the next day at Fisher and Donaldson (stovies).

The apartment is one street back from the main road thru Cupar so is very quite. It is beautifully appointed and styled, and is very comfortable. The bathroom is lovely and functional. The host was very nice and easy to communicate with. The parking space is up on the kerb just off the roadway outside the apartment, so works well.
