Beautiful castle with a very nice and comfortable room. The restaurant is a bit pricey but it was good. The breakfast was really nice as well. A nice place to take a break after visiting the loch Ness. Inverness is also a very nice town that deserves a stop.

Excellent mattress and bed -suggested he do what premier inn does and provide a direct link to the manufacturers , it was truly awesome The hotel has grand public rooms and thoughtfully well finished bedrooms ; mine was a corner room [222] with views both over the town to the huge mountain Ben Wyvis and to the high st with wooded Mitchell Hill and the very impressive "fighting mac " favourite of queen Victoria's : tower on top. A local hero of int. Reknown . Both window views were quite spectacular in their own right . Shower power brilliant and well stocked with real high quality accutrements [shampoo, soap and showed gel good enough to raise a lather to shave with ] Lots of tea stuff and fast kettle and an electric as well as centrally heated radiator so you were stuck for choice .light fittings were serious quality both in room and shower room . All in all a very pleasant space topped off by a top quality TV with many channel options. Through out the hotel were some very well tended healthy feature plants but that didn't extend into the public rooms . They contributed a touch of the exotic and a quality lived in feel to the areas that they served . Finally some of the decorative artwork had a fascinating story about the building and the towns development thru time . They ought to make prints and sell them .

This is a very special location, a beautiful old stone home with a gorgeous garden. Our little apartment had everything we needed, and Liz was an exceptional host. She arranged lots of fresh and delicious goodies for us - eggs from her chickens, milk from the local farm, and fresh baked bread. Everything was set to make nice fire in the evening. A quaint and comfortable space, we would definitely return.

We had such a lovely stay here. The flat was incredibly charming, spotless, and felt so welcoming from the moment we arrived. The location was perfect for exploring the area, and our hosts were so kind, helpful, and easy to communicate with. We really enjoyed our time here and would rate it ten out of ten — highly recommend.

We were just there one night... it worked for us as we came from Orkney and headed to Oban. We stopped at Urquhart Castle "en route." I could have stayed another day or two to see more of the neighborhood sights,,,

I remember Dingwall as being a vibrant town, sadly no longer the case . It was like a ghost town at 10pm , only missing the tumbleweed blowing down the High St. Only stayed one night instead of the two booked .

A compact and attractive town at the gateway to some of the most spectacular scenery in the UK. Large superstore and a pedestrianised shopping street make it ideal for a doing a big shop before heading into a wild and sparsely populated region of Scotland.

Dingwall seems to lack quality visitors attraction.

Dingwall seems to lack quality visitors attraction. We drove round the town and outskirts to find a restaurant Except for fish and chips takeaways we settled to the Indian Restaurant next to the hotel. Where’s the Scottish restaurants promoting their Scottish beef Lamb and haggis or real sea foods

Dingwall is a pleasant town on the NC 500 with all the historic attractions, supermarkets, cafes and restaurants etc you would want. The Wok This Way is an excellent restaurant, visit the museum which is very interesting and there are some good walks for the energetic. Also don't forget to visit the river so see the dolphins.

Lovely area, however we didn't have much time to explore much outside of the Town. Good places to eat out. Some great wee shops. Deas the Bakers is amazing (they also have a coffee shop just a few doors up) Some knitted items throughout the town, for Christmas and Valentines Day remained in place - fun & lovely to see as none had been vandalised. Very clean town with plenty litter bins. Local people very friendly & pleasant. (Beware of checking closing times and kitchen closing times. We went early in the year, so maybe this was the reason places closed early)
