Holiday Inn Express Doncaster, an IHG Hotel, hotel in Doncaster

2 minutes’ drive from the M18 motorway and the A1(M), this modern hotel offers comfortable, temperature controlled rooms.

Wide range of choices for breakfast, notice in bathroom offering complementary items such as razors, toothpaste, sanitary items should a guest have been forgotten to pack them. Although I personally did not need to take advantage of this I thought it was a very generous and practical gesture.

Holiday Inn Doncaster A1- M Jct 36, an IHG Hotel, hotel in Doncaster

Just 5 minutes’ drive from the A1(M) and M18 motorways, the Holiday Inn Doncaster is set in secluded grounds.

Great location close to A1 but not noisy at all. Great staff, I arrived with 5mins to kitchen closing and they sorted it without any fuss. And the classic burger is real good , and real good Belgian beer, on tap a delight after the A1 roadworks delays! Rooms are clean spacious and beds are comfortable. Breakfast is great too. Will be back!

I really enjoyed my time in Doncaster.

I really enjoyed my time in Doncaster. It has a lot of mining history, beautiful forests & parks to walk in. It has a vibration & character of it's own. i will definitely visit again. Staying in central Doncaster I had access to everything i needed. I loved walking in the Sandall Beat Wood.

Only stayed one night as we were touring and needed a cosy bed . Sadly this was the worst night's sleep of our holiday and both suffered backache in the morning - so would not return here. Shame because location and parking was ideal. Carvery was very good; breakfast was lacking and muddled. No juices, cereals or yoghurts and fruit. Pancakes available, but no maple syrup to add on. was 'ok' but you are just left to get on with it. Felt like no one cared.

My trip was for work, so not much time for sightseeing. I noted that the racecourse is just a couple of minutes from where I was staying, and the Lakeside shopping centres a few minutes more in the opposite direction. I would have liked to visit the air museum but didnt have time

I stayed in Doncaster to attend a conference the following day. I went out on the night I was there and enjoyed the pubs and bars that they have to offer. I went in an American country music bar which was a change as they dont have anything like that were I live. Overall if there is a conferecne at Doncaster again, I will lokk forward to returnging.

The location is great on the outskirts of Doncaster, it is definitely somewhere you’d want to drive to. The breakfast was varied & delicious. The hotel and grounds are extremely dog friendly! My dog was allowed most places in the hotel & even at breakfast. The rooms were spacious and had great amenities. There was a wedding on so we didn’t eat at the hotel as it was busy, we walked the 1.9 miles to the local pub the Anne Arms, it was beautiful! All dog friendly and the meals were delicious.

Room was huge. Air-source heating was really good. Breakfast comprehensive and porridge cooked at request was delicious. Reception staff really helpful. We wanted to visit Doncaster town centre and there is a bus stop right outside the hotel which made it very easy. There is also a Park and Ride a mile further on but it didn't look much used. Evening meal was good. Ample parking. Lovely gardens and good local footpaths at the right time of year.
