The St Ives is a boutique guesthouse situated on the seafront in Dunoon, a short stroll away from the town centre and the ferry terminal. We had such a wonderful stay here at St Ives Guesthouse. Lesley and Kenny were were so very welcoming and accommodating. They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and at home. We loved the premises, and the views of the Clyde from the peaceful and spacious lounge were stunning. Our rooms were comfortable and spotlessly clean, not to mention the scrumptious breakfasts with ample tea and very nice coffee. We really enjoyed our time here and look forward to returning.

We stayed the night before our 3 night family charter trip with the Majestic Line around the inner Hebrides - so mostly we just checked out the shops & cafes, but our 3 teenage boys hung out in arcade for a while!
Was an absolute dive, real shame at the amount of run down and empty houses. Didn’t feel safe. Went for Chinese food and was the worst I’ve ever had - three tables left early the food was that bad. Real shame.
Dunoon is a very nice loch side town with what seems plenty of restaurants and pubs and the people are as you expect very nice and pleasant its worth a visit if you like quiet towns with beautiful scenery around the loch easy to get to by ferry or if you like driving its a bit longer but very nice
I grew up in Dunoon but it’s been many years since being home. There is so much to do and it’s a beautiful location. We swam in Glen Mason. Beautiful fresh water pools. Nearby there’s beaches and woodland walks and some great places to eat.
We enjoy Dunoon. A lovely relaxing day out. Beautiful park, museum, town centre. Plenty of restaurants, cafes and novelty shops. Great ferry service to Gourock. We recommend La Cantine for food, pop in and book a table as it's very popular. We did Ardintinny too, great beach and walled garden.
The two room suite we had was quite excellent! Very comfortable and a great location in Dunoon! Very clean and accommodating! We tried to rebook when we immediately step foot in for our next portion of the visit, but it was already booked for somebody else. Next time we are in town, we will be booking here!
Montague Villa is a lovely B and B near Dunoon. It is well appointed and spotlessly clean. We were served a wonderful breakfast by our hosts the following morning. Our only problem was that the room was at the front near the road and there was a little traffic noise. We live in a quiet area.
Ideal location for exploring the area, lovely and quiet, beautiful setting. It is a little further from Dunoon than we have stayed previously, just enough locally to entertain the kids but we were blessed with good weather for our stay.
Comfortable cabin with two bedrooms, main bathroom and en-suite toilet. Good kitchen and family area. Located in beautiful surroundings no matter what the weather is like. Highly recommended.
Great location and facilities, ideal for a break away and plenty of lovely walks around. The caravan had all we needed and hosts were always available to answer any queries we had.
