With a scenic, tranquil location in Dunoon, The Park Hotel offers impressive sea views and stylish rooms. There is free parking and a traditional Scottish restaurant.

Enjoyed our stay at the Park Hotel, beautifully clean room and well serviced, towels changed everyday and bedding every 2 days. Staff were brilliant and went above and beyond our expectations to make our stay perfect. Breakfast menu was varied and the food delicious and plentiful, as we were visiting family close to Dunoon our evenings were spent with them so did not have the opportunity to sample the dinner menu but it looked extremely good value with a wide choice of dishes. Overall a perfect stay, quiet area and a short walk both to town and ferry port and a very handy bus stop close by. Will definitely be booking for our next trip.

I found Dunoon to be a pleasant and friendly town with all the amenities i needed. Cowal is a beautiful part of Scotland with tremendous opportunities for outdoor recreation. I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys the outdoors, yet is close to Glasgow and its amenities.

A trip to Benmore gardens was worthwhile and the surrounding area is outstandingly beautiful. Dunoon it.self is beginning to feel a bit run down and neglected, very limited eating options at night even at the weekend where you strugle to find anywhere after 8pm still serving food apart from carry out food .

Dunoon is a lovely little town that needs to advertise its wares much more effectively. In particular opportunities for walking in the surrounding countryside. There is a reasonable range of shops and places to eat but opening times are too restricted to attract more tourists.

Castle House Museum Gardens are beautiful and well worth the hike up to the flagpole for the view. Food and service at the Lorne Bar are excellent St Ives Hotel has a beer garden worth checking out at weekends and right next to the water. Easy to walk around. Swallow cafe could do with some staff training the person serving ice cream had an attitude issue.

Only 5 mins walk from the foot passenger ferry terminal. Ideal setting right on the esplanade thus the name lol. Positioned perfectly for lovely walks and always people walking with or without dogs say hello. The hotel itself is wonderful and the staff go above and beyond to make your stay wonderful. Breakfast and dinners are great as is the overall service, very friendly. I booked 3 nights but ended up staying 4 and have already booked another week in September, can't wait.

Absolutely fabulous breakfast. Choices to fit every need and well prepared! The room was comfortable, bed exquisite, slept like a baby. The bonus family room was so comfortable after a long day. Nice to watch TV on a comfortable sofa. Alison and Drew were available to answer any questions, provide suggestions for dinner and had a great taxi service available if we wanted a drink at dinner. Everything was comfortable, relaxing and exceeded our expectations on every level!

Superb location overlooking the estuary, although my small room was out the back. Unfortunately the hotel was only catering for the coach parties for the evening meal so had to go out for food…all worked out in that regard. Breakfast was arranged and was very good…served to your table. Room was small but adequate as I was travelling alone. A hotel that has been around for many a year but clean, welcoming and suited my needs.

The location is perfect for travelling in and around the Argyll and Bute area, the accommodation is just a minute away from the Greenock ferry making it an ideal base. The stable studio has its own access and is very private, it has everything you need to help you enjoy your stay, certainly a step up from a B & B or a standard hotel room. The wildlife in and around the gardens was also amazing.

The Whistlefield Inn was a wonderful place to stay in a beautiful location. The staff was friendly, helpful and accomodating in this historic inn. The rooms were lovely, clean and comfortable and the location lends itself to some great hikes and exploring the towns in the area. An extremely relaxing stay.

Very clean, host Alison and Drew were very friendly and made our 2 night stay as comfortable as any other 5 star hotel. Breakfast was out of this world. We would definitely come back to stay at this B&B if we were planning to come back to Dunoon.

An older style Hotel/B&B. It's a bit dated but comfortable, and the room we had (number 3 at the front) was large and accommodating. Breakfast was good and the staff had provided me with a diabetic alternative that I had requested.

The place was a great size for our group of six. It was really well kept and walking down to the water was really beautiful. And, the fact that we could do some laundry was a pleasant surprise. It's a beautiful area.
