The Bank Street Lodge is a motel style property based in the town of Fort William. Rooms with private bathrooms are available on a room-only basis (no meals included). There's a lot of things to love at Bank street lodge. First off, it's super clean! It exceeded my expectations about cleanliness. Spotless! The beds are super comfy and smell so clean, even the towels. There's a window that would guarantee good ventilation. Outside was not noisy, although you can hear your neighbors from other rooms as well as the creaking floor. But hey, that's normal for some places. The location is perfect. It's near shops, bus station, the rail station and restaurants. There was a problem on their internet when we stayed, but it's not what you came for at Fort William! :) We only saw 2 staff during our 2 nights stay, they've been helpful to questions. There's sanitizer on key places as well as reminder to wear face masks on hallways.

Located in Fort William, 7.5 mi from Ben Nevis, Garrison Cells provides accommodations with a bar, free private parking and a shared lounge. It was near to the station , just 10 minutes of walk and located in the center of the city. The idea of room is what attracts me, it seems like living in a prison for a day as the theme is something like that. There is facility of free tea , coffee , hot chocolate in the pub.

Offering a restaurant, The Caledonian Hotel is located in Fort William. Free WiFi access is available in the public areas. There is also an electric kettle. This hotel was easy to find, the staff were helpful and friendly, our room was clean and comfortable. There were 2 busloads of seniors staying at this hotel, so there was entertainment in the evening of our stay. There were two Highland dancers and a singer, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We had a great cooked breakfast including kippers, oatmeal and a full Scottish breakfast.

Many families visiting Fort William loved staying at Lime Tree An Ealdhain, Garrison Cells, and Clan Macduff Hotel.
The Guest House Berkeley House is in a Prime Location But that is Sadly all it has to Offer..Reading previous reviews, anti bac wipes came in handy..The bathroom floor was very dirty, and the shower screen runners also the same. The toilet seat was loose and the bowl stained around the bend This property advertises as a B&B..which it is not,Way too overpriced for accommodation.Didnt use kettle, bought one for £8 at Morrisons and used own spoons and T bags..It was A Weird Experience not seeing any staff, till we were leaving, and she disappeared into a staff room on seeing us..
There are plenty of things to do in Fort William and the surrounding area. We had our own transport so can't comment on public transport. The town center has plenty of varied shops and Hotels and Bars. We ate at the Ben Nevis on our first night. I would recommend getting there early to get a table. The food was lovely and the staff were very friendly. The second night we are at Cafe Mango which offered Indian and Thai food. We almost did not go in as it was completely empty however took a chance. The food was good however it does not sell alcohol instead you can bring your own bottle, beer and wine only. Our Hotel was about 2 miles from the city centre however it was a nice walk which took approx 45 minutes. We walked there both evenings and got a taxi back there are taxi ranks in the main street and at the train station.
Fort William is a great location for visiting Ben Nevis, the whiskey distillery & Glen Coe. To ride The Jacobite steam train-but be warned...must book well in advance, the Glenfinnan viaduct to watch the train pass over and Loch Shiel.
Ugly buildings around m & co. Underpass really dirty. Steam train was a great trip. The Highland Cinema is a beautiful building and a great venue for food too. Some lovely restaurants. Not much else other than the High Street The Geographer was a quirky, lovely restaurant with great food Crannog was pricey but great food and lovely decor, dodgy playlist 😂
Fort William was a lovely place to visit and plenty to do here. Boat trips and Steam Train trips. Lots of B&Bs and hotels, a warm welcome wherever we went. Superb restaurants and shopping. A very busy town with it being the end of the West Highland Way.
A compact pleasant town, good setting around water. Easy reach for Ben Nevis. Eating out did become a challenge some nights as some issues with a couple of kitchens being closed as staff were isolating. However, the are good quality options available for food.

Joanne was great in her communication, which was important since we were traveling without a phone or PC. It was very easy to access the apartment key with the code she sent, and we were especially glad to have a washer and dryer in our unit! The apartment was clean and tidy, and came supplied with coffee and tea and everything necessary to prepare meals in the kitchen. The location of the apartment is very central to shops and restaurants in Fort William.
Fort William
Where do we start? Absolutely perfect stay right on the water. Attention to detail was second to none - from the complimentary whisky in the room to a wee sprig of Scottish heather on the bed. Hosts were so nice and breakfast was fantastic. If we are ever staying in Fort William again I’m not even going to look elsewhere - if a room is available this is where we will stay!
The breakfast and meals were lovely, pre ordered the night before in the case of Breakfast, and an hour or so for tea. The staff were really quick bringing everything out and then cleaning afterwards. Obvously we all have to get used to new ways with Covid-19 but the hotel was excellet. Just 5 minutes in a taxi to the centre of Fort William.

The welcome was fantastic and it continued right to us leaving the property. Couldn’t do enough for us. Made my dog Charlie feel like a wee VIP x Poached egg was spot on and breakfast was might fine. If I’m in Fort William again, I will definitely stay at the hotel again. Thank you
I have previously stayed in this hotel and returned for a second visit when stopping in Fort William. Hotel is basic but reasonably priced and ideally located for accessing bars/restaurants on the high street. Would definitely use again if returning to Fort William.
Good breakfast, with a large variety of teas, yoghurts and fruits to choose from. The hotel is located near the city centre of Fort William, and I was lucky enough to get a great view to the lagoon and the hills nearby :)
The location is good as it’s close to Ben Nevis, supermarkets and Fort William. The hotel offers free parking. The breakfast was nice with plenty of choice. The pool and sauna were a nice addition after a day of hiking.
Nicely refurbished, comfortable hotel which had great food at the bar. Well situated just up from the main high street. Staff very polite and professional. Would recommend as a place to stay if staying in Fort William.
