Very nicely decorated rooms, that were comfortable and clean. We were in a separate building from the main one but it was very nice and retained the character of the old windows and overlooked the mill stream. Staff were very friendly and nice.

This 17th-century Manor House is in stunning grounds overlooking Stroud Water Canal and the hills of the Stroud Valley. It has an award-winning restaurant, and routes for cycling and walking.

Hawkwood is in a beautiful location with far reaching views, wildlife, birdsong and woodland walks from the door. The wholesome food and gentle ambiance was a real delight. I had also booked a workshop in Hawkwood the following day so it was very convenient for me to be able to stay and attend the workshop.
