Holiday Inn Express Greenock is a modern and comfortable hotel, perfect for business or leisure. The breakfast buffet was great. It had bread, cereal, bacon, sausage, yogurt, and lots more. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The room was clean and a good size for our family of four (2 adults and 2 small children). We stayed for two weeks and they went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. I would definitely stay there again!
With its building over 200 years old, The Tontine Hotel is 5-minute walk to Greenock city center and to the Esplanade and has a bar and a restaurant. I have been staying at the Tontine for over 20 years and I’ve never had a bad stay. The staff is lovely. The rooms are comfortable. The food is good.
Greenock is a town witch has lost most of the original industries and has imploded. The council is trying to climb out of the problem but to me it is struggling. So many empty shops is a good indication
Greenock is a Glasgow suburb town by the South shore of the river Clyde estuary. We cannot say it's a turistical place but it gives you a strategic point to explore Loch Lomond national park and Clyde Murshiel regional park.
Greenock was a perfect resting place for us each of out two night stays we had all the amenities we needed and John the caretaker was helpful and very friendly lovely spending time with him on the waterside as we cooked either our breakfast or evening meal in the fresh air. Ideally located for anyone wanting to explore beautiful Scotland with regular boat trips to other parts such as Dunoon. Thank you so much for such a lovely place to stay and i can honestly say that the Scottish people are absolutely wonderful friendly people 😊 xx
Our hotel, OYO, was poor, the places we saw and visited were well worth seeing. I doubt that we'll go again, we were embarking on a cruise, but I'm glad we did see the town and would have liked to see more.
Greenock is a comfortable distance from Glasgow with ample free parking and a regular train service back and forward to Glasgow. It is a pleasant town and easy to drive through with no major traffic congestion experienced.
Only had a short overnight visit but would have liked longer to explore. The setting of Greenock is stunning, wonderful views north towards the hills around Loch Lomond, although wrong bank of the Clyde for easy access to that area but good for south west coast of Scotland. Beacon Arts Centre is excellent with a very good theatre. Some good eating places too.
Very clean and comfortable. Excellent value. Welcomed by George. Very informative and friendly. Female dark hair very friendly too. Breakfast was great and served perfectly. Checked out with young blue-haired gent. Also very friendly. A wonderful stay. Thank you to y’all at Greenock hHoliday Inn Express. We’ll be back!!
Location handy for ferries to visit islands in the Firth of Clyde. Staff were helpful in knowledge of shops in Greenock including mobile phone repair. As a single traveller the generously sized double was good value for money.
Nice decor, bedrooms in newer wing were clean and fresh, but room in older part of the hotel was tired. Bar was nice.
Great little apartment in a great place for exploring Scotland
Cheap accommodation, great view and fab location
