Cleanliness was good and the restaurant and bar staff were totally on it. However, my room as a lone traveller was sub standard no window with a sky light 20ft up and no curtains so up with the lark. An apology of a room but a similar price to others . Bit of a cheek really.

The falls are interesting, they run from the start of the...

The falls are interesting, they run from the start of the village down to the bridge, right by the pub, which has outside seating and good real ales. This part of KIllin gets very busy with tourists. There is also a mill and shops, plus a walk along the disused rail track over an interesting viaduct. Parking is free, better to park further away and walk to the main cascades.

If you're looking for an authentic, old world experience...

If you're looking for an authentic, old world experience hotel, this is it. Killing Hotel has over a 300-year-old history and is a "classic" UK hotel. The bathroom had been remodeled recently and the room was quite small but very nice. The dining room served great food and it was nice having a pub on the premise. I love the village of Killin and the surrounding mountains are beautiful. You can definitely get away from it all in Killin.

Killin has really gone downhill, we couldn't even get a daily newspaper! The shop that sells newspapers is closed for refurbishment so if you didn't have a paper ordered you had to travel elsewhere to get one! Apart from the co op there's no shops! The town is dead!

Killin is beautiful and it was off season.

Killin is beautiful and it was off season. I think they need to update there web page. It's ok if things are closed due to less volume of visitors, but please make that clear.So many pubs and eateries were closed but you don't indicate that so it's a huge disappointment if you don't expect it.

Scenery to die for . Coop very local in Killin. Ideal . Friendly pubs . Killin golf course is 9 holes but a gem . Honesty box in winter . Defo rcomend this lodge ideal for a couple with a pet .

Welcoming, friendly and kind hosts. We chose the hotel to celebrate my birthday and the owner and staff wished me happy birthday when I arrived and put a birthday banner up above my table in the restaurant which was a lovely touch when we went for dinner. The hosts upgraded us to a suite at no extra charge. Great atmosphere in the bar and even handed out free pies to all during the rugby. Really nice touches. Dinner and breakfast were amazing. Definitely the best place to stay in Killin.

Breakfast was cooked to order which meant it was fresh and hot. We had dinner in the hotel which was next to the roaring fire, meal was really nice and hot. Room was outstanding, we overlooked the Falls of Dochart Family run hotel, with coffee shop, smokery. Staff knowledge of the local area was good, nothing was too much bother for them. There are some lovely walks with stunning view and a nice coffee and cake afterwards.

An absolute gem in Killin! Immaculate property, tasteful decor, super comfy beds, and a delicious breakfast, all topped off by wonderfully attentive hosts. It was the perfect location for our two-night hiking trip. We couldn't have asked for a better stay!

Beautiful house that is perfectly located for tje village of Killin. Plenty space for the 10 people who were staying which the balance of beds and room ideal. Views from the front and back of the house are stunning !
