We loved Lichfield. Visited the Cathedral where we were welcomed. Also Dr Johnson’s birthplace. But no time left for Erasmus Darwin’s house. We would recommend a super restaurant called EGO where food was good and staff very friendly.we need to visit again. It is easy to get around, and our accommodation modation was only 15 minutes from the centre.
An excellent large cathedral. the Erasmus Darwin (Grandfather of Charles) was very interesting. Best of all was the Samuel Johnson museum. For eating, check out Ego Restaurant, superb. Try to get a table by the window, looking on to the Minster Pool, lovely. Lichfield is a very pleasant and picturesque town, well worth a visit.
The cathedral is magnificent and there is a lot of history and historical buildings to enjoy. Take the walk around the river. Nearby the National Memorial Arboretum is a must visit. Take a look around the visitor center then take a guided tour by golf buggy around the 100 plus acres of memorials. Peter is an excellent guide
Excellent. Great location for the NEC and local areas. Great car park. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Snacks and additional drinks available to buy. Room spacious, clean and comfortable. Free Wi-fi, TV, Coffee tea making facilities, iron, ironing board, clean towels and everything you need for a two day stay. Additional items could be bought if you had left anything at home. We didn't use the facility. Breakfast was plentiful and well made with enough choice for everyone. Really happy with he stay.
We only had an afternoon in Lichfield, thanks to having to quarantine for a day and a half. The village is lovely. Do see Lichfield Cathedral--amazing architecture and stained glass. So much history there. In the pedestrian shopping district we found a street chock-full of charity shops (our Kryptonite). Wonderful places to eat abound. Wish we could have had more time to explore--would love to return after COVID.
Lichfield is a very pretty city. The cathedral and surrounding parks are a joy to visit. The town centre is mainly pedestrianised and has a great selection of shops, bars restaurants and coffee shops. Always a pleasure to visit
Lichfield
Location of the hotel was brilliant. We were heading to Bloodstock Festival the following day, and we needed to buy our food and drinks for it. The hotel isn't far from the city centre at all, so it was easy to do this. The hotel also arranged our taxi to the festival and there wasn't any issues. Breakfast was included in the price so that was also great. Rooms were a good size, beds were comfortable.
Lichfield
The room is really cosy and just right for my one night stay. The two dogs were super sweet and made my stay a little bit extra comfy. Complimentary toiletries was available to be used too. The location is close to the city centre, could either walk or drive into the city centre.

Location was fantastic - quiet street, but only minutes from the Cathedral and city centre, with fabulous eating options. Would happily go back if in the area, and recommend others to do the same!
The hotel itself was very nice and Lichfield is a lovely place. The Cathedral and shops are less than half an hour's walk from the hotel. Staff very professional and friendly.
