EVERYTHING! The staff, decorating/style, warm welcome and warm rooms. Fireplaces. FOOD! The grounds. I arrived with an injured foot and was met with concern and given a ground floor room. Could not fault this place and it’s my favourite place so far. We will be back!

The Tongue Hotel was a welcome oasis after a long day of driving through dreary weather along the NC500. Good sied and well appointed room. Enjoyed a drink at the bar before an excellent dinner in the evening, followed by a nicely prepared full Scottish breakfast the next morning. Also, I inadvertently left behind an article of clothing that the hotel staff returned to me by prepaid post soon after my stay.

If you drive an EV like us, dont worry about having a low battery since this property has got its own charging point and it is free usage for the guests. We had excellent stay at the property.
