A spacious, comfortable apartment with amazing views over the water and to the mountains. The accommodation was very clean, it had everything we needed and there was plenty of fresh towels. Although we had brought our own there was also tea, coffee and biscuits provided. The street is quiet and is well placed to explore the surrounding areas.

Great cottage and facilities for those of you who want to...

Great cottage and facilities for those of you who want to escape busy life and traffic of the mainland and enjoy making your own entertainment. If you enjoy your own company and the outdoor life then this is for you. Small island. Easy to get around by car and appears to have better bus service than mainland. Shops mainly centred around Rothesay. Can't speak for dining out but didn't appear to have much choice of quality restaurants. Does have a great butchers in Macqueens and main co-op has good selection of most things including off licence. Some nice quality individual shops but need to look for them. Mountstuart House and Gardens is a MUST See if you haven't already been.

Perfect location with incredible views and amazing cottage.

Perfect location with incredible views and amazing cottage. We will all be back again soon. We are in Ghillies and Harry Has both had excellent food. Isle of Bute is an amazing part of the country we particularly loved the beautiful Ettrick Bay beach. The local people were warm and friendly.
