The bedroom was very comfortable, nicely decorated, clean and quiet. We liked the bathroom, mattress and bedding, lighting, plentiful electric sockets, comfy armchairs, air conditioning, fridge. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was excellent for the beach, park and shops (great deli). Food was nice. Garden seating was great for a sunny day and even a rainy day in the covered areas.

We liked the tree lined streets which give cool shade in hot weather, the luxuriant parks and the useful local shops. We valued the proximity to beautiful nature reserves by the sea such as RSPB Arne, Studland and Brownsea Island as well as the Dorset Jurassic coastline further west and the most astounding castle at Corfe. On the down side the coastal strip around Poole and Bournemouth is way over developed and very busy at times including the continuous sound of fossil fuel engines from motor boats and jet skis especially around Sandbanks. Car parking was expensive.

Poole Quay area is filled with excellent pubs with great character. It is an interesting and attractive working quayside that has harbour & river boat tours. Great views across the harbour towards the Purbeck hills. Poole has many accommodation choices and is a great base to visit Corfe Castle, Kingston Lacy, Sandbanks, Studland beaches, Swanage and various tourist attractions in the surrounding areas.

The accommodation was lovely.
The accommodation was lovely. Actually smaller than I thought but probably looked at the wrong photo on booking. Weather was another factor, some rain and very windy. So probably would have had a better time if sunny. Lots of places to eat couldn’t go sea fishing because of the weather but at least boat trips were still going. I think it’s all about trips around the coast and brown sea island. Maybe there are more places to visit but didn’t have time because of a short time there. There’s parking about a minute away and tourists buses to get around plus local buses.

Lovely beach but take a picnic as no food outlets except a fish and chip van and ice cream van. Sand is white and soft and the sea shallow. Rick Stein restaurant is lovely, a bit pricey but well worth it especially the good.old cod and chips. Nice walk along the sea where there are lots of water sports in the very shallow bay.

Poole is a nice place to visit but the old town and train station at night had a number of rough sleepers and the area felt a bit run down. The area along the quay was much better with the Sun seeker yacht building yard, pubs and restaurants.
The hotel is beautiful. Amazing location. The staff were absolutely wonderful. The Breakfast selection was outstanding. Our room was very comfortable and the hotel is spotless. Will definitely stay here again. Literally just across the water to stud land bay. Small journey to swanage easily accessible by the hourly tour buses. Poole quay up the road. We had everything really on our door step. I would highly recommend staying here
This was my second visit to the Poole branch of IHG Hotel's although I have stayed in a few other's, the beds were comfortable, room was clean and a great choice for breakfast at the buffet , also the hotel is centrally located .
The meals at the hotel were excellent, generous portions and very tasty. The hotel location was on a bus route with a speedy service to Poole centre and Bournemouth. The staff were excellent, polite, professional and efficient.
Great location on Poole Quay. Terrific view from breakfast room overlooking Poole Harbour. Buffet style breakfast was also enjoyable. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Hotel was cheaper than others in area.
We asked for an early breakfast, which was supplied. The hotel was clean and well styled. Rooms were very comfortable and we were made to feel welcome. I would stay here again if travelling via Poole
