Hotel in Poole
Situated on the Sandbanks Peninsula of Poole Harbour, this elegant hotel features a restaurant and panoramic views of Poole Bay. There is also free WiFi. The food was amazing as was the location and the kindness and hospitality of the staff. I paid a little more for a deluxe room and maybe expected a little more for the price. However location certainly made up for this as did our view of the sea. me and my wife were treated so kindly. Shame the treatments weren’t being carried out in the spa and some spas give one treatment in With the cost of the room…but the feeling is overwhelmingly a happy one. They allowed us to check in early as the room was ready and leave the car on the car park even though we’d checked out and these little things matter

Pool is a lovely place with lots to do and see in the area, we enjoyed a walk to Sandbanks although there is an open top sightseeing bus which also goes to Bournmouth in a circular tour which you can get on and off as much as you like. There are numorous eating and drinking places around ranging from cheap and chearfull to michelin star all located on the quayside and interesting little cobbled side streets.
Great and varied places to eat, lovely beaches and good shopping too. The Quay is definitely worth a visit. There is a Brownsea Island boat excursion that visitors can enjoy, as well as a harbour boat tour - and there are quaint and historical nearby towns well worth seeing too.
It felt quite a safe place to be. I went out searching for a take away on my first night quite late and the people seemed friendly and a few people I passed even passed a greeting of some sort. I found the staff in the venues were also very polite and courteous and nothing was too much trouble.
We were in Poole for a family wedding so some of our time was taken up with that. However, we did find there wasn't a great deal to do despite it being a Bank Holiday weekend. We took the ferry to Brownsea Island and had a lovely day there walking the trails and admiring the wildlife and views. We also visited the RNLI which was informative and interesting and as the wedding was at the Italian Villa, we were able to spend some time exploring the grounds and amenities there. We most enjoyed the amazing diversity of good food in Poole, eating at Rockfish, Da Vinci's, Riggers, Rick Stein's restaurant and Taste of Asia all of which were really excellent and the staff in each venue very friendly and competent. Until our last day, the weather was good so walking around Poole and sitting by the quayside was enjoyable, but we were disappointed that even though we googled places to go and any possible events upcoming, there didn't seem a lot on offer.
Very good for getting around and most places of interest we wanted to visit were within a 20 mile radius. It is interesting to walk around the Port of Poole. We caught the ferry to Brownsea Island which proved to be a lovely trip. The island very picturesque and interesting. Belonging to The National Trust, it is very well looked after.
Good mix of conventional high street shops and largeish shopping centre with a department store. Excellent circular bus routes and other services to places of interest. Beware off season harbour trips they never ran Feb despite crew telling us they would. Major attraction Brownsea Island shut until spring.
The fact the staff knew I was there following the death and funeral of my Dad from Covid-19 and they were warm, very kind and friendly towards me which was wonderful as my stay was involved in attending appointment with Coles miller Solicitors of Poole on the 3/3 and 4/3 and needed some R and R in between times. Thank you and feed this back to the hotel manager please.
Superb location, on the beach and great sea views. We walked to Poole and Bournemouth along the beach. We also walked to Swanage via Old Harry’s Rocks and came back on the open top bus. Hotel is clean & Felt Covid safe. Staff friendly and helpful.
Great location next to the beach on one side and views over Poole harbour on the other. Plenty of space in the guest areas on the grounf floor that are not found in more modern hotels. Very friendly and helpfull staff.
