Staff were lovely and helpful. We arrived a little early so popped in to enquire about the parking permit and we're advised our room was ready so we could check in. That was really helpful. Location of the hotel is great for us. We've been to Weymouth a few times before a chose this hotel because it's in the middle of what we want to do.
Our room was clean and stocked with ample tea/coffee and toiletries. We didn't need anything additional during our stay but we're aware that we could ask for additional towels etc.
We were soaked during the second day and were offered the chance to dry clothes in the tumble dryer which I thought was a lovely offer and shows the staff are conscientious and wanting people to have a comfortable stay.

The guesthouse is based on the life of Lawrence of Arabia with all the rooms decorated on that theme. Our bedroom was quirky, even had a porthole! Lots of personal touches in the bedroom, including a tiny fridge so we could keep a bottle of fresh milk. Wonderful choice of freshly cooked breakfast. The amazing lounge looks like something out of Lawrence's era & is on the first floor so wonderful view of the bay.

Weymouth was a great base to spend a week and we didn't get bored at all. The weather was great all week, which helped. The marina, the front and the gardens were lovely to walk round on a sunny day and we ate out at a number of places with our favourites being Bacaro, Weymouth Tandoori and Sambo Brazilian Steakhouse. The Edge Cafe also does some great breakfasts.
We enjoyed visiting Nothe Fort and Sealife but particularly enjoyed the Tank Museum (30 mins away) and the Fleet Air Museum (1 hr away).
Lyme Regis is also not too far away (we stayed there the week before).
We were also surprised to hear a lot of foreign voices, American, Italian, French etc., which gave the place a continental feel

Weymouth is a nice resort with a good beach and historic old town harbour area for exploring. It’s fairly centrally located to visit the whole of Dorset, extending from from Lyme Regis in the west, to Poole in the east.

Wonderful charming guesthouse in a fantastic location on the beach. Attentive enthusiastic hosts. Very high quality breakfast produce perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. Short walk to the pretty historic harbour. Mythical fish and chips with friendly pub next door. What’s not to like. This was a short work trip and I left happy and well rested.

All junk food. No healthy options. Need more.
All junk food. No healthy options. Need more. Health stores. Not fast food. Need more free seating places. Should have to pay for deck chairs. Why. Also. Under ground sun way. To go to the beach. Not safe for a woman. At the hotel stay. To many steps again. Need snack in the room. Fruit. Option. Everyday. Not just. One day. Balcony view was restricted.

What I liked most about visiting Weymouth is that there is plenty to do while you stay down there. It is along the Jurassic Coast so there is no surprise about that! You also have Weymouth Quays. There is plenty of places to eat and drink in both areas, including the seafront. It is easy to get around Weymouth and the Quays. It is usually best to get around on foot, other than taking the car and driving around. We also went on the Jurassic Coast tour buses as well. Me and my mum went to other locations as well, including Lyme Regis and Dorchester South. There is plenty of activities do to as well, such as to go out on boat trips which we both did on an early morning when the sun was out in full effect, during our stay. There is a lot of heritage and historic surroundings situated in Weymouth, with Landmarks, buildings and country lanes and walks!
The people we met, who owned the business, were very welcoming and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. The breakfasts were excellent. The room was small but had everything we needed. The hotels position on the front made seeing the best of Weymouth very easy and it is only 10 minutes, at most from the train station.
First of all the owner Roger was very helpful and friendly.
I was travelling by my self so my small double room was perfect for me.
The room and en suite bathroom was very clean and comfortable.
the sea front is a short walk from the hotel the gardens were beautiful.
you can walk along the seafront to Weymouth town centre and harbour.
- Spacious room with high class bathroom
- Delicious breakfast
- Thoughtful chatty owners
- The hotel placement - just across the street from the beach
- Being allowed to leave my luggage there after checking out, so we could explore Weymouth for a few extra hours hassle-free.
The hotel was very clean and tidy and the staff were very happy and polite with a warm welcome. Our room was on the top floor which we had been advised about before hand it was very clean and tidy with excellent views over Weymouth Bay.
very lovely stay !! the room was super clean,, the hotel itself has a very cute vibe. great location with great hosts. we will definitely visit again when we come back to weymouth 💛
