Set in Neath in the Glamorgan region, Cilffriw Farm features a garden. The accommodation is 33 km from Llanelli, and guests benefit from private parking available on site and free WiFi. Jonathan, the owner is a very nice person (but difficult to catch him because he is working long hours). He has three dogs that are super cute and are hanging around. There is also a grumpy black cat. The house is exceptional, it looks like a museum. Room you will be staying at contains antique furniture, beauitiful paintings of scenes with children and animals, horses, elephants carved in wood, literally every corner of the house is beautiful. The house itself is hidden in a very quiet area, behind the trees albeit the mobile internet has still a very good reception. WIFI is fast, I could play online games no bandwidth problem at all. When you open the window there is a gentle sound of nearby river flowing. There are some farm birds (a chicken and a cock), a few turkeys and geese wondering around in the field and they're spoiled - access to fresh water in the nearby stream and a shed. Everything very clean, access to kitchen, parking, peace and relaxation, highly recommended.
Boasting a garden, Sunshine House Sunshine House offers accommodation in Neath with free WiFi and mountain views. The holiday home features garden views and is 16 km from Swansea. The host (Remus) was fantastic on arrival even though we arrived late in the evening. The house was incredibly clean, warm and very comfortable. A lovely place to stay

A lovely cottage tucked away with everything you need. Perfect location for travelling around South Wales. Excellent value and I will certainly be using it again in the future.

Holiday Inn Express Swansea East offers accommodation with free WiFi and free onsite parking. Swansea is 7.5 miles away and the picturesque Gower Peninsula can be reached within 15 miles. there were a lot of variety at the breakfast .the coffee was delicious especially the mocha the beds were so comfortable. I like the special door in the bathroom, to close the bathroom, or the toilets and the staff is really wellcoming and I forgot to say that the location near the motorway is ideal
Sights worth seeing are the castle, small little local shops and market. Easy access to the valleys and mountain biking in the Afan Valley ( Afan Argoed and Glyncorrwg mountain bike centres) Swansea 15 min on train or you can drive there in around the same time. Gower close to pay a visit too also.
Neath was not a pleasant experience. People were not adhering to COVID precautions so it felt very unsafe. I resorted to not leaving the hotel room unless I absolutely had to. The traffic system is a nightmare. The town is dirty and unattractive. Lots of debris about. I regret to say I cannot recommend anyone to visit or stay here.
Lovely place to explore, especially if you like walking and exercise. We did lots of things, but we did use our car for transport. The waterfalls and beaches, mountain, river walks and the caves in the area are lovely. The National Showcaves Centre was not quite fully opened, however well worth the visit anyway. Two caves and some of the other activities in park were functional and distancing and Covid measures really well implemented. Also enjoyed Margam Country Park although the main castle/house is closed, you could still do lots in the gardens. We hired bikes for few hours and cycled around. Saw a heard of deer :) We had some takeaway food from local restaurants, pizza from Moruzzi &co was delicious and local fish and chips from Shillingfords were also great. We did not want to visit places due to Covid and these two were great and easy after a full day of exploring and exercise.
Very lovely town with many surprising attractions such as street musicians, talkative and nice locals and delicious fish and chips! Here are few destinations that I would recommend to everyone: *Victoria Gardens (really beautiful park for a picnic or a reading break ;)) *Neath Castle *Neath Market *Shillingfords fish&chips *Hikary's Fish Bar (large chips are really laaarge!) *The Castell-Nedd Arms (great bear, great prices and local community)
I did not see to much but there was lots I wanted to see as was down for a family occasion will come back to neath as wanted to see the a few things. there is things going on as well bars with live music and other so worth a pass by also would recommend dinner at the castle hotel. Neath is easy to get around from the bus station or train near by going to most places.
Neath is as far as 25 minutes driving to the centre of Swansea. There are few supermarkets which makes it very handy. It is suitable for driving people as you can explore swansea and it's natural parks with ease.
