Our stay was amazing! Accommodation is in a great secluded area of Frodsham which made us feel like we were miles away from home. You can clearly tell every little detail has been thought of by Lady Heyes. From the cover over the top of our Hot Tub, to the comfortable spacious sofa perfect for relaxing in the night time. Nothing was too much for the staff in reception and they made us feel very welcome. Will definitely be returning!

really good hotel.

really good hotel. Lovely staff. lovely grounds surrounded by a lake. As the hotel is high up from water there is a small fence and no access to the lake from hotel grounds. Hotel is far from shops and pubs, nearest pub over a mile but the bar onsite is good. Car is essential here. Overall I was impressed for the price I paid. I've paid much more for much less in the past.

We wanted a hotel that was relatively near to Chester and...

We wanted a hotel that was relatively near to Chester and the Nunsmere served that purpose. Although the room we wanted was not available, the Hotel manager found a room that was. The Hotel and staff satisfied all our requirements in a most efficient manner and the breakfast we had each morning was first class. On our last day, we had afternoon tea in the library. Full marks. Whilst we were in the locality we visited Joddrell Bank to see Lovell's telesope. It was an enriching experience.

Very quiet surroundings, easy to get to places by car. We ate breakfast there ,one dinner in The Captains Bar & room service once for lunch sandwiches were delicious. Walks in the ground were good , ponds & benches to sit if needed. Avery good venue for weddings.

The location and rooms are great, but make sure you take your own toiletries. Mediocre wine list and average food and service standards could easily be improved by some smile training and attention to detail.

Beautiful hotel surrounded by lovely gardens and very private. Room and bathroom were both amazing and spacious. Had a really good sleep as well. I didn’t eat at the hotel due to other commitments but the menu looked very nice.

As we only stayed the one night didn't do an awful lot.

As we only stayed the one night didn't do an awful lot. But there is a lovely farm and gift shop worth a visit. Hollis farm shop. A must. Eating out is quite expensive, plenty of pubs in the small villages.

Location, hotel and grounds were superb , which would be amazing at the right time of year. However, it was April so not the best. The lift was broken for the two day stay and repairs were attempted on the first morning . As we were located directly outside the lift this was noisy and disturbing at 8am on a leisure trip we wanted to chill on. Knowing this, we could have been given a room away from the repair area!

Beautiful place and a lovely hotel very clean and comfortable staff were friendly and welcoming Room simple bed was comfortable the room looked over the garden and lake let down was the little touches in the welcome book and information on the hotel we are sad that we did not have the option to purchase the nunsmere teddy yes not needed but would been nice to have the options
