Firstly the staff here are some of the best I have ever experienced. From the moment we arrived they looked after us every minute and made us feel so welcome. Food in the restaurant was very good and our room was very comfortable. Overall exceptional service and I hope if I'm ever in that area again to get the opportunity to stay there.

Spent one night in Peterhead which I have no problem with. I travelled there to collect a new car but unfortunately stayed 1 night at the Britannia Waterside hotel. I previously stayed in the Waterside for a week many years ago when the oil industry was in full swing. This hotel is now a shadow of it's former self & should be either closed down or taken over by a more resourceful Hotel Group.

Another Scottish town that's looking and feeling the effects of an ageing infrastructure and a lack of investment. Shopping and eating from restaurants is a very hard-to-navigate one-way system that's not user-friendly if you're unfamiliar with the area.

I was up for football but I stayed over the evening before to not have 6 hours of driving in one day. I am glad I did as I was able to visit the Peterhead Prison Museum. It is well worth a visit and very interesting.

I visit family in Peterhead.

I visit family in Peterhead. However, if you are interested in walking and coastal scenery, then Peterhead is for you. As a town, it is not very spectacular, but the harbours and history are fascinating. Peterhead has all amenities and decent pubs and eateries. Easy access to the Moray coast and the highlands. Aberdeen is a short drive. The whiskey trail is also nearby.

Peterhead is definitely not on the tourist traill.

Peterhead is definitely not on the tourist traill. There were no restaurants nor shops of any quality that we could find. The only bright spot was the prison visit. The whole place looks to be in serious decline (with sincere apologies to those folk who live there and call it home).

The hotel has just changed ownership and is undergoing a full refurbishment and can be a little dusty and a little noisy just now but the owners are going a great job of trying to keep the rooms clean and tidy they also keep you updated on when the workers will be making a lot of noise. No bar or food just now due to the work being carried out. Look forward to going back and seeing the hotel after the full refurbishment is finished. We were just staying there for a few days and were out all day.

I liked that the hotel is very clean, I was in an accessible room on the ground floor, it was nice and quite basic but comfortable and fresh looking. You eat at the pub right across from the hotel, we had a lovely evening meal and the breakfast in the morning was great. The best thing about this place is the staff they really do go above and beyond so I would stay here again.

First of Eileen confirmed that the property was ready before the official check in which was a bonus. When we arrived, the property was immaculate. Perfect location for our golf trip at Peterhead and Cruden Bay. Would highly recommend this place. Views were spectacular. Thanks again Eileen for being a great host and making our stay seamless.
